We were with some waterfall long-exposure addict friends at my favorite spot to photograph the wintry waterfall. It was also thawing, because the waterfall, which is not very big, has a lot of water. Suddenly I thought, what stinks like that here. In fact, someone smoked in the wonderfully fresh air. I did not trust my blue eyes and took a picture immediately. At home I worked the photo with PS and out came an arteriosclerosis med. Screening ;-)))! I sent the photo by email to the person concerned. I told him that the inflamed fingers of his hand are very clearly depicted. He answered:
"You can carry your tripod yourself in the future!" LOL
Sorry, it's a photo from my archive because he no longer wears my tripod! ;-))) Should I post the original photo?
You can see the smoke clouds better.
Happy Thursday everyone!
Thanks for the visit, comment and Fave, I appreciate it very much!
Great day in Melbourne with Parisian artist Rashe.

Of the myriad of reason to shoot RAW, my absolute favorite is this: As time goes on you will become a better photographer. Along with that you will become a better editor. Not only that, but the systems and processes you use will become better as well. Shoot RAW, use Lightroom (or any non-destructive workflow tool) and YEARS later you can revisit your "negatives" as if you shot them yesterday.
Shot discipline is more important than processing. You can always fix the processing later as long as you nail the mechanics of the capture. That means know your camera. Some cameras handle highlight data better than shadows. Some shadows better than highlights. Expose so your camera is capture the most dynamic range possible.
Optimal Exposure + Correct Focus + Please Composition = Interesting Photo
