This is what goes on at Mathnasium.

One of the things I’ve been doing this summer is working at my hometown Mathnasium branch. Most of the kids that come in to do math in the summer struggle quite a bit—many are working on summer classes to recover credits and some have learning disabilities (ADD and ADHD being the most common). However, there are also some kids who just love math and want to get ahead. I find it rewarding to help both types of student; with one, the reward is redemption, with the other, the pleasure of the “aha!” moment or the joyful struggle of mastery. Several of them are also chess fiends, like Luke, pictured above, who like to end sessions with a game or two.

Mathnasium opened on March 18th, 2019; it was previously a Claire's, which closed in 2015.

Crumbl opened on June 9th, 2022; it was previously a Sally Beauty Supply, which closed in 2021.
