You cared for the sick and
held many hands through the years.
You laughed with some and
with others you cried real tears.
You carried out orders from
one too many grumpy does,
all the while glancing often at the clock.
A nurse never knows what complication each
illness brings, but you did your duties like

Fuji X-E2 plus Pergear 10mm F5.6 fish-eye lens. Some say that what distinguishes us from the animals is that we make things. Some say that a married man, from time to time at least, ought to withdraw into the basement. Both assumptions are only partially true.
Its my wedding anniversary tomorrow and i thought I would celebrate by posting a photograph of a recently married couple, who like myself (many years ago ) are starting on a journey. One that I have loved and still love.
heute am 22.2.22 haben sich sicher wieder viele getraut…
diesen Brautstauß habe ich in Venedig entdeckt
Paulownia Tomentosa the Anna Paulownia tree.
I have found this tree in an Arboretum in Eeklo Belgium!
It's worth it ! ;-) yes it does 😍
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A true and interesting story:
Carving paulownia wood is an art form in Japan and China.
The leaves can be eaten cooked; the flowers are edible, for example in a salad. But people only eat the plant in dire need, when there is nothing else to eat.
In early spring, before the leaves emerge, the fragrant, light lilac-purple flowers appear. Their scent is reminiscent of vanilla.
A decoction of the leaves is used to cleanse nasty sores and is said to promote hair growth and prevent graying. The leaves can also be used as a compress for bruises. The juice of the leaves is used against warts. The flowers are used in the treatment of skin conditions. A tincture of the bark is used in the treatment of fever and delirium. It has an astringent effect and is also used to expel parasitic worms.
The wood is not attacked by insects and is used to make boxes, clogs, furniture, musical instruments, etc. It is suitable for poles and beams in construction and a source of charcoal. The nitrogen-rich leaves are a good fodder crop and the roots prevent soil erosion. Various Asian string instruments are made from Paulownia tomentosa, including the Japanese koto and the Korean gayageum zither.
The plant contains a number of potentially toxic substances.
In China, this tree was traditionally planted at the birth of a girl. The fast-growing tree developed as the girl grew up. When she got married, the tree was cut down and the wood was carved into items for her dowry.

I did not know this, but now I do ;-)

I spent 12 days in January in Ecuador with the San Jorge Eco Lodges.
This male euphonia was found at the Jerusalem Dry Reserve, Quito, Ecuador.
Mistletoes and Golden-rumped Euphonia seem to be married in an unbreakable bond. The parasitic mistletoes are a preferred food source for this colorful euphonia which disperses its seeds on top of tree branches that will later be parasitized. Widely but disjunctly distributed in South America it is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyan, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
Euphonias are members of the genus Euphonia, a group of 27 species in the finch family, Fringillidae. They were formerly placed in the Tanager family, Thraupidae.

We are happy to be married before our Lord God and many witnesses.
We swear to admire, love and help each other, and to create a peaceful, happy family.(◡‿◡*)❤

The castle was built by King John between 1207 and 1214. It cost over £1000. It was built at the bend of the River Whitewater probably as a defensive strategy but also because it is a halfway point between Windsor and Winchester, which until the 12th century was the capital of England and which was still very important in the 13th century especially ecclesiastically. In 1216 the French laid siege to it. Thereafter it became the home of the very powerful de Montfort family and Simon de Montfort married King John's daughter Eleanor. However de Montfort rebelled against King Henry and was killed in battle and his wife exiled. "In the 14th century the castle played a part in the Despenser's rebellion, was host to a sitting of Parliament, and for eleven years was prison to a Scottish king. By the 15th century, however, it was used only as a hunting-lodge, and in 1605 was described as a ruin."
I am not sure which room my 8 grandkids like best, my music room or my art room! At ages 5-14 now the art they create is higher quality than the music, but I have high hopes for continued improvement! The music room has a Yamaha piano, 2 guitars, a mandolin, ukulele, thump harp, penny whistle, and various sizes of recorders and about 8 harmonicas! Also a Ghanaian drum and other small shakers. I have gone through phases of time when I have focused on different art forms. I got my college degree in Theater and loved musicals. I got married at age 20 and quickly had to find a way to make enough money to support a family. The job I stumbled into was working for UPS. So early on to keep my mind from going numb from repetition, I started writing songs while driving. In the 1990’s, I wrote 7 musicals with about ten songs in each along with the dialogue. Most were for use with my church children’s choir. Here is a link to my favorite of the bunch - Christmas is Sensational! vimeo.com/64349568
Give him this smile slightly. Big smile and happy to have him next. Smile like the sun shining moments we are together filled with love.
Give him this sweet words lightly. Give both the anger of the sad kingdom aimlessly on the corner of his eye again. Love has always been his right, the sun is shining with rain and cool sex all the time calm sky. I also love how his baby.
This gave him a kiss lightly. Pressed virgin kiss love Thee through every breath, squeeze your hands through the attachment did not want to leave.
Give me pretty pretty pink cheeks when light strikes the early morning sunshine. Sunny adorn her more beautiful in the eyes of love. They adorn the beautiful sunshine in your heart a little more than slightly to my heart always belonged to me forever.
Give him all my thoughts ahead. Give for 24 hours a day to remember him. 24 hours of my time just thinking about him, do you understand it is because I love how many children do not. 24 hours seems too short because of my nostalgia, love is long passed away. If a long day under the horizon of fatigue, perhaps not in my nostalgia also donated his own time, missing the horizon.
I dedicate this to him again? Heart. I won my heart gave him, it will only belong to his own time. Although he did not side with you, whether we're apart for hundreds of thousands of kilometers off infection. Whether your side - local flower flavor is excellent surrounded by many bees butterflies on the road. But I still just for me. The flower will only emit a scent that is next to him only.
To give him the whole sky. My sky is you, sir. Keep on the sunny shine his light to me "happily ever still belongs to its own one day. These waves do not leave us far, because of my pride ... are you ... ", there.

Today is the first day I had a complete photoshoot fail. I shot for about 30 minutes in the best light popped my memory card in the computer, heart sank, no images! Sadly I also took some family photos yesterday that didn't get recorded. I tried again but couldn't get my snails to participate and take direction like they did earlier. Boo!
Today is my son's wedding day and it is going to be at my house!! Time to go make final preparations and get ready to celebrate. Have a wonderful day!

Some members have mentioned that my shots rarely show people. And this is true. Thursday I started a new career as a wedding photographer when my sister and my new brother in law married in the lighthouse of Blavand. It was simply great, for those who want a very special wedding I can highly recommend to say „yes I will“ in the lighthouse of Blavand. Jylland, Denmark
my parents were married 61 years. I loved watching them grow more peaceful and loving through the years. My mom died first - two years ago. Dad missed her a lot, but continued to enjoy his life til he died in June of this year. I grieve and I celebrate.
