Designed by Marcel Breuer and completed in 1966 as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the building is now known as the Met Breuer.

Marcel Breuer was the protégé of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius and a leader of the modern movement. He is also celebrated for his achievements in architecture and furniture, perhaps most notable is the Wassily Chair.

This building, now an annex to the Metropolitan Museum of Art is at 945 Madison Avenue and East 75th Street on the Upper East Side of New York City.
