My daughter and her boyfriend joined us on this day in the trip there in northern Arizona. They arrived just before sunset ... so was a lot fun getting them out in the dark around these cool rock formations in the dark and taking the captures. Had fun with some light painting as well.

Ball or Sphere

 

A marble is a small spherical object often made from glass, clay, steel, plastic, or agate. They vary in size, and most commonly are about 13 mm in diameter.

A marble gadwit shorebird is sifting through the sand in tidal pools along the shoreline looking for something to eat.

Clouds on this evening added some mood to the scene with the Milky Way fighting to make its way into the sky over this northern Arizona landscape.

 

The warm light on the clouds is from Page, Arizona.

Marble Canyon Trail crosses the canyon of Tokkum Creek in many places, thus offering beautiful views into the canyon, with the Canadian Rockies as a backdrop.
