What it took: I used the black background that came with my photo studio box. I put the items inside the box, but I didn't put the light on. I used a speedlight. I took photos from different angles, moved the items around. It was quite difficult to get a good result. I played around a lot with the flash intensity. The image has then been darkened further using radial filters in Lightroom and spots have been cloned out using the spot-removal tool (also in Lightroom). Borrowed the ENORMOUS Fuji Instax camera from work (which they purchased on my suggestion for making an employees wall in the early weeks of the new production)
Much more like it - no jammed camera, proper exposure, decent colours. Sorry to all the 'Roid heads, but Instax wins hands down!

This is a Mermaid make up i am doing for the stall i will be on at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show (IMATS), i have always wanted to do a mermaid and make the tail. This tail is made out of latex, it is not complete it laces up down the back of the models legs. So it only covers the front 2/3 of her legs. Grease paints and shimmers and water based body paints were used to highlight and shade her body. This is only the test make up. I will be making fins for her arms, her hair will be fuller and she will be wearing a crown. This character is based on Ariel from DIsneys "The Little Mermaid".
