- क्वीन तो रॉयल होती है और हम हमेशा रानियों को एक दायरे से देखते हैं. लेकिन आप स्टीरियोटाइप तोड़ रही हैं...

मैंने अपने दिल की सुनी है जो मुझे सही लगा, मैंने किया. पापा अपनी जगह सही होंगे और अपनी जिंदगी के फैसले मैंने खुद लिए. यह सही हैं कि मैं दूसरों के बताए रास्ते पर नहीं चली मगर मेरा रूल तोड़ने का मतलब दूसरों को गलत साबित करना नहीं, खुद को सही साबित करना था.

-हॉलीवुड जाने की क्या आपकी भी प्लानिंग है...

मैं चाहती हूं कि दूसरी जगह भी फिल्में करूं. मुझे देखने वाले दर्शकों का दायरा बढ़े. लेकिन हॉलीवुड खुद दूसरी जगह मार्केट तलाश रहा है. ऐसे में मैं वहां से क्या उम्मीद कर सकती हूं. वहीं चीन और बॉलीवुड की फिल्में अपनी जगह बना रही हैं. ऐसे में हॉलीवुड की बजाय इंटरनेशनल अपील वाली फिल्में करना चाहूंगी.

- आपने खान तिकड़ी के साथ अभी तक एक भी फिल्म नहीं की है...

जब मुझे वाकई एक सुपर ब्रेक की जरूरत थी, तब मुझे इन सुपरस्टार्स के साथ काम करने के ऑफर नहीं मिले. और अब जब ऑफर मिलते हैं तो मैं अपने हिसाब से फिल्में करना चाहती हूं. बस कुछ सीन के लिए किसी फिल्म को करने का क्या तुक है.

- इंडस्ट्री में आप बड़े हीरोज के बराबर पैसा मांगती हैं...

जब मैं किसी फिल्म को पूरा वक्त और मेहनत दे रही हूं तो क्यों नहीं मैं हीरो के बराबर की फीस की डिमांड करूं. मैं तो नहीं कहती कि मुझे बड़े खान जितना पैसा मिलता है लेकिन हां, कई मेल एक्टर्स के बराबर या उनकी जितनी फीस मैं लेती हूं.

- आप बॉलीवुड का 'फेस ऑफ फेमिनिज्म' बन चुकी हैं...

मैं आर्टिस्ट हूं और मेरे पास जैसे रोल आएंगे, मैं करूंगी. 'क्वीन' जैसी फिल्में पर्सनल एजेंडा हैं और जो कर रही हूं, सब अपने करियर के लिए ही है. इसलिए मैं ऐसा कोई क्रेडिट नहीं लेना चाहती.

- आपने एक इंटरव्यू में स्वीकारा है कि आप ऐसे रिलेशन्स में रह चुकी हैं, जिनमें आप मौत के मुंह तक पहुंच सकती थीं...

मुझे किसी बात की शर्म नहीं है और मेरे पास छिपाने को भी कुछ नहीं है. मुझे मुंहफट कहा जा सकता है लेकिन मैं सब साफ बोलने वालों में से हूं.

- मेल एक्टर्स क्या आपसे घबराते हैं...

हमारे यहां का माहौल ऐसा ही है कि महिलाओं को दबाया जाता है. मेरे घर को ही लें. मुझे याद है जब एक बार मेरे दादाजी ने मुझे डाइनिंग टेबल से उठाकर कहा था कि लेडीज बाद में खाती हैं. अब इसका क्या कर सकते हैं.

- लेकिन आपको खुले तौर पर काला जादू करने वाली कहा जा रहा है...

इनसे मैं भी हैरान हूं. यह सब समाज का एक और चेहरा दिखाता है. य‍ह नेगेटिव माइंडसेट दिखाता है. मुझे साइकोपैथ, खून पीने वाली, चुड़ैल जैसे टैग दिए गए हैं. मेरा सवाल है कि किसी की सिचुएशन को आप उस पर आरोप की तरह क्यों थोप रहे हैं. महिलाओं को ऐसे ही आरोप से दबाया जाता रहा है. हमेशा ही. फिर चुड़ैल, डायन जैसे शब्दों को नेगेटिव ही क्यों लिया जाता है. क्या हम हैरी पॉटर को नहीं देखते. बाकी जहां मेरी बात है तो गॉसिप कॉलम्स में मुझे अपने पीरियड साइकल पर आर्टिकल पढ़ने में कोई तकलीफ नहीं है.

- ऐसे आरोपों से क्या दुख नहीं होता...

होता है. मैं भी रुक कर सोचती हूं तो मुझे भी झटका लगता है. फिर मैं किसी को तब सॉरी नहीं बोल सकती, जब मैंने कुछ गलत नहीं किया हो.

- अगर कोई पुरुष साथी अच्छा काम नहीं कर पा रहा होता है तो इसका आरोप महिलाओं पर लगता है. अनुष्का-विराट का उदाहरण हमारे सामने है...

मेरी बहन पर जब एसिड अटैक हुआ तो उससे पहले मैं इन मुद्दे पर गंभीर नहीं थी. लेकिन जब आपके साथ ऐसा होता है तो आप समाज की चीजों को लेकर आंखें खोलने लगते हैं. लेकिन इसके पीछे भी कहीं न कहीं यही सोच है कि मैं तुम्हें पा नहीं सकता या तुमको दबा नहीं सकता तो तुमको बर्बाद कर दूंगा. मैं उन लोगों के साथ हूं जो ड्रग एडिक्शन से जूझ रहे हैं. मैंने ऐसे रोल किए हैं. हम ऐसे लोगों के लिए नकारात्मक ही क्यों सोचते हैं. क्यों हम उनको समाज से काटने की सोचते हैं...

- कोई आपके साथ नहीं, क्या बुरा लगा इस बात का?

बॉलीवुड में मेरे कुछ वेल विशर्स हैं जिन्होंने हमेशा मेरा हौसला बढ़ाया है. फिर सोशल मीडिया से भी सपोर्ट मिला है.

- यह विवाद कैसे खत्म होता देखना चाहती हैं...

अब जब सब खुलकर सामने आ गया है तो ठीक है. मैंने देखा है कि बड़े लोग ज्यादा दिखावे वाले व झूठे होते हैं. मैं गलत नहीं हूं तो सॉरी नहीं कहूंगी. लेकिन कभी-कभी इस सब पर दुख होता है और रोना भी आता है. लेकिन इस सबका सामना तो करना ही है. खुद को मजबूत कर लिया है. मैं लोगों पर जल्दी विश्वास कर लेती हूं. लेकिन फिर भी खुद को बदलना नहीं चाहती.
