Thank you very much for the permission AmyDenise and Yoyo Collas. They have great taste about their avatars that you can't take your eyes off them.
Today's theme for the the Macro Mondays group is Magnetic. This is a magnetic scupture desk toy made up of stars and moons.
Thanks for visiting.
HMM.....
"I believe there is a subtle magnetism in nature that if we subconsciously surrender to it, it will lead us in the right direction"
Henry David Thoreau
"Take the opposite direction to the habit and you will almost always do well"
Jean Jacques Rousseau
it is that "almost" it is disturbing....: )
Using my magnetic pieces from a pack of travel scrabble, I thought this might be quite apt!
This is for the Group - Macro Mondays - and for the theme of ‘Magnetic’! Just two and a half inch square!
A gyroscope setting atop a magnet, with paper clips clinging magnetically to the frame. Small metal particles dance on the surface of the magnet if you look at the zoom view.
Essa edição mostra um homem que tem um poder muito grande, e é por isso que todos querem mata-lo, então ele esconde seu rosto para ninguem descobrir sua identidade.
Dedico essa edição para o Samuelpera.
Espero que gostem *-*

"Klepto" by RAVI COLTRANE, on 'Spirit Fiction' (2012)
On a sunny and windy day in spring, the colours are popping in blue, green and orange along the coast of northern Norway. In the far distance, the island Nord-fugløy is towering majestically towards the open sea. This island is a breedingplace for sea-eagles, common eiders and puffins.
A macro view of a magnetic sculpture, taken for the Macro Mondays group theme, "Magnetic." The frame represents a span of 1¾ - inches across.
Strobist/technical info:
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights and two steady LED cube lights. The SB900s were positioned CL/CR and fired in Manual mode @ 1⁄128
power through Neewer 24" soft boxes. Two steady LED cubes were placed at 11-o'clock (with red gel) and 3-o'clock (with blue gel) and used to illuminate the background. A warm overhead room light was also used for fill.
The SB900s were triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.
Lens: Tokina AT - X M100 AF PRO D (AF 100mm f / 2.8 Macro).

When I was a boy, having a Magnet was a great source of Fun...
As an old man I am still amused with the power of magnets.... They are still Fun
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Early this spring I was at a rural garden centre when I saw a hummingbird fly in and feed on the nectar of this Salvia (variety 'Black & Blue'). Of course I saw it as an endorsement, and bought the very plant the bird was feeding at. It was a good move ... over the course of the summer I observed that the hummingbirds find this particular variety absolutely irresistible.

Looking Close... on Friday: Construction Toys
I took lots of photos for this challenge, even before it was announced, because Zane, 3 (& Orson, 5 & Henrietta, 7) love construction toys ... & I love photographing them😁💕This is one of the closest, so appropriate for "Looking Close... ".

Cotter pins and magnetic hooks.
I set up a nearly identical arrangement of hooks about 1½ years earlier, just dropping hints in the tags without explaining what I did. Since magnetism is the theme this time around, I used a large washer, placed behind a sheet of matte board held at an angle, to secure the upper hook magnetically. Cotter pins were chosen to be unique; their low profile is a bonus.
