The Magic Tree in Lee's Summit, MO has become one of the must-see Kansas City area attractions during the Christmas season. Most of the year, it's simply a tree, but at Christmas time it is adorned with thousands of LED Christmas lights.
It's 6:30 and still light!! Which meant I had time for a run after working on my shot for a while. Yes. It has come to working on weekends. Here's the conversation I had with the guard, who chased me into the building after my run:
Him: Are you done?
Me: Running?
Him: Yes.
Me: Forever?
Him: Today.
Me: Do you mean am I going to go running a second time today? No.
Him: Well, whenever you do, you have to let us know. We have to protect the Magic.
Me: The Magic?
Him: Yeah! We can't protect you when you leave the premises.
I learned several things. I am considered "magic." Not magical, as in having magical powers. Only magic. I also learned that I'm not supposed to come and go on the weekend without notifying the Keepers of the Magic. And finally that some people go running several times a day, apparently.
Who knew?

My two Disco Magic Sindy dolls, together at last.
I find it interesting that the blonde has pierced ears while the brunette doesn't.
Look at how frizzy that hair is! lol. These girls have really horrible quality hair but they're just so oozing 80s that I can't help but love them.
Now I just need the auburn haired one.

The lake at the bottom of the glacier is full of little icebergs. what a magic place. ice sculptures have been stranded on the beach. just like glass.
There is magic all around you. You just have to get out of the way. Don't talk, don't look for it, and most of all don't even think you know what it is going to look like.
