This is my first attempt at shooting fireworks as well as my first attempt at the Magic Kingdom.
I don't know how anyone can get quality shots at Disney, especially where I was located in front of Cinderella's castle. The amount of rudeness here was astounding. Foreigners have no concern about who they stand in front of. A child sitting at your feet or one in a stroller, it makes no difference to them. If there is a square foot to stand in, it's theirs.
Needless to say, I wasn't prepared to take firework shots. With no tripod and no room to maneuver I was limited to hand-held photography. Which is why after taking about 50 shots, only two or three seemed post-quality and they are barely average.
I tried metering by aiming at a bright burst and then snapping at the next one to get a max shutter speed of 15-20. Otherwise all of these would have been 1-3 sec. speeds. Definitely not hand-held quality speeds.

after all the rain we had a few days ago, enough to flood half the countryside, we are now having clear skies and warmish sunshine, makes great weather for these little magic mushrooms to pop up everywhere

you never know who shows up to RnB Live Hollywood, we were graced with an interview by The Magic Man himself, one of the greatest players to wear the Purple and Gold of the Los Angeles Lakers, #32 himself, Irving "Magic" Johnson.
As I recall, he had a hoverboard under the carpet to let him glide around the convention floor.

Magic is the perfect subject to inspire people of all ages—especially kids—to learn about the science behind the magic, and the world around them.

This is in the right queue area for Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. The significance of this chess game lies in the genius of Marc Davis. The board is arrayed in such a way that every move constitutes an endless game of chess.
At one point during a refurb the board was moved and the layout was changed. Luckily, they were able to set up the board after finding some original sketches.

This is one room from "Magical Realms", the famous store in the Bronx, NY, belonging to Lady Rhea, a priestess /sorcerer also known as "The Witch Queen of New York".
She is a Wiccan High Priestess in the Gardnerian tradition. Since 1992, she owns this store, where she reads tarot or performs rituals, but overall it's where she elaborates her widely known enchanted candles, spells for almost anything that involve the use of fresh flowers, honey, essential oils, carving the candle with the signs of deities involved and covering the pattern with colored glitter for a final product of remarkable beauty.
This is one of the rooms for the tarot readings, and it contains diverse elements of different believes working together (an Italian Madonna doll, a Catholic saint, and a Hindu deity).

The elusive Carpet from Aladdin The Musical Spectacular.
Carpet very rarely stands still (a pain for a manual focus lens) and tends to avoid the light. It's rare to catch her in the light like this.
Here Carpet is showing her displeasure with Aladdin for breaking his pinky promise to free Genie. I believe carpet is indicating that Aladdin can kiss her wool backing. After all she is is a Persian Carpet, right?
