Puerta de Alcalá was one of the five gates in Madrid city walls. This neoclassical gate was completed in 1778, replacing an older one from the XVI c. Today, the walls are long gone and the gate is in the middle of a busy roundabout of Plaza de la Independencia. It looks good with the clouds, though.

Contemplative Photography can be understood as an open, curious, non-judgmental state of mind, focused on just seeing. Combining photography and meditation, we open ourselves to just seeing, without judging, letting the simplicity, harmony and beauty of the ordinary emerge.
