My first trip to Idaho with Mom, to look for a new home for her. We drove from Sonora to Madras in northern Oregon on the first day of our trip. This is looking east from the parking lot of the Motel 6 we stayed at overnight.

The Oregon Trunk Subdivision's most distinctive features are these massive trestles that are seemingly everywhere on the railroad. It's a shame that regular freight traffic is so inconsistent up here, as I'm sure this would be photographed more often. Nonetheless, SP 4449's northbound excursion back to Portland was the perfect occasion for this view of the train soaring above the small town of Madras on this large steel trestle.

We have missed many Photographic Society of Madras Photo walks in Chennai, thereby not presenting, in various forums of her tradition and cultural elegance. It is PSM style to have Vinayag Chaturthi Photowalk every year mostly at Colourful Mylapore.

Let us hope for the end of Corona Pandemic at the earliest and celebrate Vinayaga Chaturthi in humble manner this year.
