For the first time we traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to see the State Capital. I took this photograph from a distance and noticed through the image how big this architecture was. Many gathered on the streets singing religious music while others walked by with masks or drove by. Madison was an interesting place to visit for one day.
:Hanging out in the studio, practicing some new painting techniques and realized that I'm loving this cute crop and jean combo from Hanatsumi! Not to mention, they are separate pieces (and colors) which is good because I can pair either the top or bottom with other great products from this talented designer. Hurry to Hanatsumi in world!

In the light drizzle and fog, Wisconsin & Southern train T006 makes a rare Sunday morning departure from Madison, Wisconsin at 5:59am on August 14, 2022. Four locomotives and, unofficially, 105 cars made up this day's train.
Madison Falls in Olympic National Park. A short walk from the parking area culminates in this happy little falls.
My thanks to JBARNESFLICKR, who recommended a different crop for this image that I posted earlier.

Traveling on eastward through southwest Montana, we leave the snowy landscape and come upon this grand view of the Madison River. If you focus your attention on the tiny speck at the tip of the island in the river you’ll see what brings fame to this stream…fly-fishing! #flyfishing #madisonriver #beautifulmontana
It's a few minutes before sunrise over a calm Lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin at 5:29AM on May 14, 2021.
Early morning sunshine finds its way through the dissipating cloud cover on the first day of September 2018 as a pair of TRRA SD40-2's shove a cut of cars over the hump at their Madison Yard in Madison, Illinois. The TRRA is a vital transportation link for Saint Louis, classifying and interchanging cars between the various railroads that converge in this area.
TRRA's 201 job made quick work of departing Madison Yard and rolling through St. Louis on this late afternoon. With the early sunsets, it's a tough job to catch with any daylight. We found some rays of light at Compton Ave and luckily, nothing was parked on any of the "High Speed" tracks.

The Madison Turn returns to BNSF’s Lindenwood Yard on 9/2/2005 in Saint Louis, Missouri. This may have been BNSF’s train or TRRA’s train. They swapped “ownership” every couple months.
Built in 1895, this Gothic Revival-style building was built for the Conklin family, and features a red brick exterior, bonnet roof with exposed rafter tails, blind gothic arches, rusticated stone sills and lintels, first floor retail storefronts with decorative cornices, one-over-one and casement replacement windows, a stone base and recessed brick panels around many of the second floor windows. The building is a contributing structure in the State Street Historic District, listed on the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places.
A mother and slug shove a string of cars up and over the hump at the Terminal Railroad of St. Louis' Madison Yard. Leased former IC&E GP40-2s from Helm Financial can be seen sitting in the background.
