It may or may not be a surprise to you, but I didn't expect to see so many hidden "Five Dollars" words in a $5 USD bill. I thought they were just patterns in the border. =D
I think the actual font size is less or around 1/10th of a millimeter. =D
Taken for the Macromonday's theme "Unexpected"

When I read this week's MacroMonday's theme "Games or Game pieces" I initially thought of the game pieces from our Monopoly game. But these kind of 'pieces' shots seemed predictable. So I chose a game controller from an X-box instead.
After trying out various angles and compositions I noticed that leaving out more of the 'it's a game controller' context seemed to deliver a better image. More abstract, but still recognizable.
Anyways, this week's theme was fun to shoot, have a great MacroMonday!!

The below Photo (comments section) was taken without the added close-up attachments.
for MacroMonday's theme: Childhood Memories
When I was a kid, you were a real loser if your mom got you the fat crayons that the preschoolers used. And if your mom got you the big box with the sharpener in the back, then you were really cool! A few years ago I got the box of 96... just so I'd have it. I'm cool! :)
For MacroMonday's theme: Hobbies.
I have a bad addiction to Star Wars merchandise. I collect it religiously. A fun hobby, though. These are Galactic Heroes helmets. I collect carded action figures as well and I especially like international carded variations (Japanese, Chinese, Euro, Italian, UK, Korean, etc.) of the POTF2 (1997-1998) series.
In the bathroom cabinet my daughter had many bath bombs. The pink one on top she made herself. They are sitting on a gray washcloth.
For MacroMonday, Defining Beauty
So often like this in lonely places in the forest, he would come upon something--bird, flower, tree--beautiful beyond all words, if there had been a soul with whom to share it. Beauty is meaningless until it is shared. George Orwell, Burmese Days
Perhaps this is MacroMonday's, Flickr's raison d etre.
This time I have no choice, because the Macromonday´s theme of the week targets in the center of myself. A suffered heart, surrounded by the notes of Elvis Costello´s Almost Blue.
Theres a version from his love Diana Krall, but Costello´s is best. You can see more of him at Youtube, and also the version with trumpeter Chet Baker.
Macromondays theme: “The Blues”. As preferred, SOOC.

My farther was a railway nut! Not just an enthusiast, but a nut, he loved them. As a child family holidays meant taking the caravan near railway lines be that heritage or main line, we were there. Anything heritage sold badges, be that enamel as here or button.
Me I’m a hoarder (much to my wife’s frustration) so I still have my badges, and lots of other ‘treasure’!

for MacroMonday's Weathered and Worn. Spotty Ted is approximately 38 years old and went unloved for part of her early years. She was then adopted by Daughter No. 2 and has to be THE most loved bear in the world! At this stage I fear it will take micro surgery to separate them - Daughter No. 2 being in late 20s! (Thank you Elizafox22!)
Rock from Lake Erie. 1 1/4 “ x 1 “ on scrapbook paper. For Macro Monday’s. Edit: The rock is from Carmel, CA beach. I get my rocks mixed up.
For MacroMonday's 'Back in the Day' challenge.
I had to use a slide rule and log tables at high school, but shortly after calculatirs were allowed. Now it is computers.
This picture is for the group Macro Monday's and this week the theme is "Circles".
My husband asked me "WHY didn't you put it on another color of paper??!!" I said that I did but the other picture didn't come out very clear. So... sorry to make you look at this "putrid" color. It's kinda grown on me!
I'm not really sure what this thing is. I found it in my kitchen drawer. I know it goes to a counter-top appliance.... I just don't know which one!
I decided to title it "You Spin Me Round" since I always hear that song on the radio. Since I couldn't remember who sang it I had to google it. Made me laugh watching that video on YouTube!! Artist/Bands were pretty goofy back then... or high.... one or the other. :0

Didn't realise my watch was so bashed up and scratched until this pic! Taken for MacroMonday's Half Way Point theme,
I tried to get the centre of the watch in the middle of the image (plus the time is half past so maybe extra points for that!)

macromonday's theme is glass:
this tiny perfume bottle (less than an inch and a half) was sitting on a church YS table just waiting for me to come along and take its picture. the prices of things were so reasonable, i should have brought it home and cleaned it up :)
i suppose it would surprise no one that i often have a ducky in my bag (purse) ~grin~

The 'evil eye' is a curse or legend believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given at a person when they are unaware. Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury. Talismans such as this Greek apotropaic one in the form of a charm on the wife's bracelet are created to "turn back" the evil curse. Contender for the May 27, 2019 Macro Mondays theme "Superstition."
