For MacroMonday's "tribute" theme this week... I went and found the most boring weed I could find, and took some shots of these tiny flower buds. Using the great Raynox MSN-505, I was able to see things my eyes could not, and appreciate this little plant! This bud measured 2.5mm across... very tiny! Please notice the razor thin dof, if viewed in large, or original the closest part to the lens, is just out of the depth of field, this was the best shot I could get...
I was at my whits end this past week trying to think of a photo for this weeks theme and was having no luck as I had no candy in my house. Thankfully I was at a party Saturday with m n’ ms. The flower pattern was not intended but when I looked down at my plate and saw it I knew I had found the perfect thing for my picture this week

A strand of pearls, nestled amidst a silver evening gown ... highlighted by the glow of a candle ... end to a romantic evening ... or just another take on MacroMonday's "Lit by Candlelight" theme ???
oh, did i have fun this morning taking pictures of things close up for the macromonday's theme of inside. this was a bonus one but it might be my favorite of the LBS shots (LBS= little big shot lens).

Mystical Navel Gazing No More
Kahlil Gibran would never countenance
Close examination of his utterance
that “beauty is not found in the face
But is a light in the heart”: oh so off base
Instead to the fore that guru R. Tagore
Who with uncharacteristic verbosity and more
Prates: “you do not gather the beauty of a flower
By plucking her petals”, Oh my heart grows dour
So then whence beauty? Not verbal effluence!
But maybe MacroMonday’s photographic excellence
Counters mystic poets and gurus’ navel gazing
With comments “beautiful” and “absolutely amazing”.

Since joining the group, every week, the MacroMondays's time has become for me a true moment of creativity at looking for the good photo to propose to the group ! So, for the last theme of the year,"Redux 2016--My Favorite Theme of the Year ", my choice is for "June 13: Stripes". The model, a metallic zebra, is quite bigger than the 3" restriction but his head fits the required size limit. Happy Macro Mondays for all of you !
Full Frame baby! ; )
For this weeks #MonoMonday's & #MacroMonday's , I mentioned last week that I picked myself up a cheeky little early Xmas/Birthday/Why the heck not present! =)
Can't wait to get out shooting with it in the year going forward! : )
Did I mention full frame? :P

Whenever I hear the word imagination
this music (originally sung by Gene Wilder in the chocolate room from the 1971 movie "Willy Wonka..." automatically begins to play in my head:
Hold your breath,
make a wish,
count to three:
Come with me, and you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin, with a spin
Traveling in a world of my creation
What we'll see will defy explanation
And if you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world?
There's nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be
And if you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world?
There's nothing to it
There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be.
This photo was taken for Macromonday's weekly theme "imagination"

Happy Macro Monday Everyone !
My photo for Macromonday's theme of the week "childhood memories".
This bracelet had been buried deep down in my jewellry box when I discovered it . I always loved travelling even as a child . Then I got this bracelet and everywhere I travelled I got another little pendant to remind me of the places I had been. Heidelberg is where I grew up. This brought back many wonderful memories from my childhood and I decided to wear it all day. This way the happy thoughts stayed with me all day.
20210316_3781_7D2-100 Rusty Pin Vice (075/365)
I had been out early afternoon for a walk and struggled to get a decent pic, then we had a short sharp electrical storm and I set a camera up to try and record lightning, but I just recorded wind and rain!
Coming home from a great talk on astro photography at my local camera club I saw that MacroMonday's next them is 'rust'. Earlier I had been lamenting the fact that two of my small pin vices has gone rusty while in storage, so at 9:30pm I started to take a few shots, This was the most successful, an in camera double exposure with light from the left for first image and from right for second.
Whether I use it for MacroMonday I don't know yet. I might find some better rusty objects in the next few days.

Yesterday I was taking part in an art fair. To attract visitors I usually paint because then everybody stops and watches, asks questions and chats with me. So I was very busy painting all day yesterday.

ya think the season is catching up with us all??)
for MacroMonday's theme: ugliness
I picked up glass from the beach sand for a whole season and made a mosaic out of it. These are some of the leftover bits. I think it's ugly behavior to toss empty bottles into the ocean even if you're far out at sea.
A quick, easy and simple shot. Quick it wasn't...

Macro Monday’s - Footwear (9/7/20)
Took quite a few footwear pictures this week, but ended up submitting this to try to add to the diversity of submissions.
MacroMonday's theme this week is "wood" and this is the first thing I thought of for the group.
These wooden balls are about 2cm in diameter (3/4 inch) and I have a lot of them.
Each one is unique just like a human but each one has similarities, just like a human.
Happy Macro Monday people.
for macromonday's theme of wood:
