macromonday's theme is rule. when i first started taking pictures, digitally, a flickr chum, crow, explained the rule of thirds and the importance of composing using power points. so here are the ladybug(s) to show you where they are.

btb, today's learning was in using the freehand draw feature on picmonkey-- that will take a lot of practice ~grin~

Window light and ribbon! Wrap it up!

This small butterfly has a silvery appearance as it flies low to the ground over sheltered flowery grasslands. In Britain and mainland Europe, the pattern of wing spots is highly variable and many local races (and sub-species) have been described.

In Scotland, most individuals are of the race artaxerxes and have a characteristic white spot in the middle of the forewing (see photo). In northern England, this spot is generally dark brown or black. Similar to Brown Argus but differentiated by orange spots. The butterfly occurs mainly as small, scattered colonies and has declined in northern England (Courtesy Butterfly Conservation).

Thanks for viewing my photos and for any favourites and comments, it’s much appreciated.

A small shell found on a holiday in South Africa. This shell is smaller than an euro coin. It seems to be the shell of a small squid species.

A bit of humor for a Monday morning. Monday's are not my friend, and I know many others feel the same way. Starting the day with a laugh might help. :)

This is a sweet gift my husband gave me. I have two holes in each ear for earrings but long since have had earrings in. I am sure many others have the same issues as I, can't wear anything but gold or silver or it gives me ear infections. My husband lovingly thought to get me some gold earrings for me for Christmas so I could finally put my holes to use. :)

Two dried orange slices in front of the window.

This is about 5cm.

Happy Macro Monday.
