Some of the machines where I work

Earth moving equipment at a storage site for the Felindre (Nr. Swansea) to Tirley (Gloucestershire) 196km long Gas Pipeline.Pipeline to be laid 4ft underground. Each section is 1220mm wide. Apparantly the biggest Civil engineering project in Europe at the moment, although I don't know under what criteria.

Mynd tekin á verkstæði Ombaf á Norður Ítalíu þar sem leiðiskóflur eru unnar eftir að þær koma frá Ulma Forging á Norður Spáni. Ombaf vinna einnig slitplöturnar (facing plates) fyrir Fljótsdalsstöð.

Machinery of Atlantic Footballfish.

Still at the sugar factory here. This is a close up shot of some of the machinery at work. It looked like the wheel in the middle was going flat out - on a Saturday as well! Come to think of it though, I don't think I have ever seen the factory not up & running.

HUGE rusty lathe latterly used for turning the tops of Bessemer furances!

The Yowah opal fields in Queensland are fed from a hot artesian bore. The bore drain from the bore was created and then maintained by a horse drawn delver. two teams of horses, one team on each bank would tow the delver along the bore drain to clear it of debris, mud and silt.

R5 train station from the suburbs to Philadelphia, at Wayne.

 

I once lived on Wayne Street in Chicago, which got its name from this train stop in the Philly suburbs.
