I was going to do just that tiny pink heart-shaped button which is all that remains of a dress I wore for years till it fell to pieces, but then I found some vanilla macarons sprinkled with pink sugar at the supermarket and could not resist them.
i macarons in origine erano dei semplici pasticcini senza farcitura ; solo a partire dai primi decenni del XIX secolo i macarons vengono serviti a due a due, accompagnati da creme e marmellate.
Il padre degli odierni macarons di tradizione parigina è Pierre Desfontaines: al nipote di Ernest Ladurée va attribuito il merito di avere accoppiato i pasticcini, unendoli grazie a creme e confetture di volta in volta utilizzate.
Ancora oggi, i macarons della pasticceria Ladurée sono tra i più rinomati al mondo.

These were a handmade gift from a friend who gives cooking lessons, DCD Cuisine. Macarons are delicate and finicky French sandwich cookies made entirely of ground almonds, egg whites, and sugar. The possibilities for fillings are endless, but the most difficult feat is achieving the right consistency and presentation of the macaron shells.
These were perfect and I have been promised that I can have a lesson to make them.
