Just love the colors of Autumn the leaves as they change color ..don't like the thought of the winter coming though.lol so am making the most of the sunny days we are now going to get..

Ready for the test the complete setup of the portable device "USB PTP/MTP camera controller prototype" we built to control a camera via USB for HDR bracketing, time lapses, etc.
Prototype based on PIC24F chip (www.microchip.com)
Main features:
1)Remote shutter release (momentary switch)
2)Time lapse (variable settings in secs/repeat)
3)IR/Motion detector for shot when an object is in the operative range
4)Sound trigger for shooting as a relevant sound is revealed.
5)Laser beam/Light trigger for shooting as a beam is broken by an object.
6)Shutter speed setting (up to 1/4000)
7)Bracketing control (HDR)

At the moment we are able to control via USB Canon and Nikon cameras (shooting immediate or in time lapse, time shutter speed)
We are working with external sensor (light, movement, sound etc) to trigger the shoot as the event is reached.

Harvard Art Museums
Ceramics Program Director Kathy King and her assistant Darrah Bowden led a hands-on demonstration of faience during this M-Lab workshop organized and led by Laura Taronas, a Ph.D. candidate in Egyptology at Harvard. The workshop explored the multiple applications and symbolic meanings of the color blue throughout Egyptian history. Participants took a visual tour of some of ancient Egypt’s most emblematic work, focusing on the use of the color across mediums. In a hands-on session in the Materials Lab that followed, participants had the opportunity to mold and sculpt faience and create their own mock wall painting fragments inspired by Theban tomb paintings incorporating Egyptian blue.
