I was at the producers' market when I spotted this man and his great mustache from afar and I thought it would be cool to snap a portrait of him.
And as he came closer I started seeing the face tattoos and it became clear I had to ask him a portrait.
He agreed but it obviously bothered him a bit since he wasn't looking at me and kept his head slightly turned away.
I only took two shots, the whole intercation lasted less than a minute.

Another image of a White-cheeked Honeyeater I managed to capture from a shoot a few days ago at Hunter wetlands Center (Shortland, NSW; Australia) with long time friend and fellow flickr tog Joe Micallef.
I thought this front on view of the bird shows off its impressive white moustache / mustache.

Arthur was on the northeast side of State and Chicago Avenue, with his belongings hanging on his wheelchair. When I asked how long he'd been out here, he sighed, "A long time". He continued, "pray for me", he said. "it's hard" (being out here). Usually he sleeps on the train. He's usually here most days. He doesn't have many interests, he said, "they've all been washed away". His biggest need? "I just want to comfortable", he said, "and not have to worry about food". He was such a kind soul. I said I'd pray for him and he said "I'll be praying for you".

Mustache man made an appearance last year around this time and he is back a year later with more. This guy is very silly...I think the mustache was made for him.
I bought a set of mustache cutters and had fun! I'm taking them to my daughter's social at school tonight!
