The Tor Massif and the MoC.
Not to sure about this one. The wall at front is a bit dominating and could do with a more dramatic sky.
This model was featured on The Lego Blog - thank you!
It was also featured on The Brothers Brick - thank you too!
I've been working on this for almost a month... so here it is (now that Spring is almost here, hah). Heavily inspired by this building: jmalick.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/alpine-ski-chalet-...
As I celebrate launch of my first LEGO Ideas set, 21340 Tales of the Space Age, I'd like to share with you three more pictures in the series I've built. They are closer in style to my original submission, but uses a dedicated hanger on the same height as pictures in the final set. I hope you enjoy these models as well as the previous ones.
Instructions available on my Rebrickable page (warning: all three models use some illigal techniques). rebrickable.com/users/john.carter/mocs/
these are the MOC's that I made in 2011that I'm proud of ;) It was an awesome year and I hope next year will be even better ;D
and to all of you Happy new year !!
Besides making a scene, I also wanted to expand onto the Aurean landscape and build something nice that I could display as well. Here is my sig fig's residence. A lovely hideaway tucked into the rocks. Perfect for anyone trying to stay out of the way.
Small MOC of a colorful Toucan. I used a lot of SNOT for the body and beak, and I like how it ended up.
Thanks for checking out my build!

This MOC was constructed for the "REPLICATE YOUR HEROIC MINIFIGURES IN BATTLE!" contest on LEGO ideas
I was messing around trying to build an engine to go into a new MOC for this months LUGNuts challenge, and I decided to pull out all my MOC engines to have a look at them together. All in all they're pretty much similar, yet all done differently. I sure like that jet blade piece! None of them are based on anything real, some of them have their exhaust pipes removed, and two of them haven't been used yet.
My latest MOC: entering the long lost hall of the elven king.
I used a fixed camera point to make this single shot. An intensive build and i hope you all like it!
The Gamma Dragon flys high into the sky to absorb gamma rays usually shielded by the atmosphere. Theses rays allow for tremendous power and give it a glowing appearance.

I finally got a chance to put the head used for my profile picture into a moc! Building this guy for Aaron's Dragon building contest was really fun... and a great excuse to procrastinate studying for finals! :P
For the sake of completeness, here's my full lineup of Tales of the Space Age. I don't think there will be more in a foreseeable future - I'm very happy with the seven pictures as is and enjoy having them on the wall of my home office.
And just in case you'd like to build some of them, 21340 Tales of the Space Age is still available in LEGO S@H. For the additional ones, you can get the instructions from my Rebrickable page: rebrickable.com/users/john.carter/mocs/

From reckless corporate consolidation of the media industry, the Presidential persecution of whistle blowers to the targeting of independent wartime journalists by our military, our system has completely failed us. The continuous stream of sensationalism feeds our addiction to drama, hyperstimulating the senses with fear and novelty. The war drums beat to the tune of our racing hearts – which rage with fury over manipulated messages driven by those in power.
Personally, my advise would be to shut off the TVs – which drive us away from the essence of a meaningful existence. Ignore all mainstream messages – they are rooted in profit. Focus our thoughts and hearts to kindness, forgiveness and tolerance. The Fourth Estate will burn on its own.

One of the primary new techniques (for me) used in this build was the implementation of Lego nets (71155) for sculpting. By backing each net with smaller plates – set apart by 1 stud – and then using 1x1 round plate pips on the front side (sandwiching the net in between), I had a flexible scrim which I could then build off of. This allowed for the undulating forms in the explosion area.
I’m sharing the photo version of my new project “Journey to the west”, which you find the video version from my last post. There’re night and day versions showcasing this MOC, both are very interesting to look at.
I do like the video because it shows the movement of the stage, and also fun to watch, what’s your thoughts? Video building process is here: youtu.be/30VNU9nCkm4
The national electricity grid is down so local neighborhood Fusion Power Stations are the norm. Here's one of them in Chinatown. It's complete with rooftop water heaters, atmosphere scrubbers and a mailbox (😄)
Sometimes people ask me how many MOCs I have together at once.
It used to be just two or three. But since my collection has grown, I can keep more together for longer, so the slacker in me tends to do just that. There are fourteen on the desk right now, but that doesn't include my NCS MOC and several MOCs awaiting disassembly at my in-law's place.
Hangar 21 has worked out really well, as you can see. I've got four fighters crammed in there right now (three are the contest prizes). The other is a redux of the Nemo, which still needs some work.

Seems I built mostly cars last year, apart from 28 Febrovers and a SHIP.
The three I care about are the 7-wide pickups in the middle row: 1969 Ford F-100, Hanomag Kurier, and 1964 Ford F-100.

Hello guys, welcome back to another moc post, this is def an improvement from the last post lol. Anyways, this moc took me about a month to make, and it is for the World In Darkness group. Originally this build was going to be apoc (it will be on insta) but Everette and Tobias definitely forced me to make it modern military hahaha. Anyways, thanks so so much to Jan the Creator for helping me get the door just right, and helping me figure out how the brackets would fit in it. I would also like to thank ichoco tirimisu for helping me with the build over all.
-story-
*The lone guard outside the weathered, blue building, knew he was an easy target. Because of the shortage of weapons in the Russian ultranationalists held sectors of the Mediterranean, he was forced to use a machete until new weapons shipments arrived. He knew that he could be easily sniped from the surrounding bush from any of the other military factions that the ultranationalists were on unsteady ground with. Yet there he stayed, pacing around in front of the door, the hot Mediterranean weather causing him to sweat and become even more miserable. “I hope the leaders wrap up whatever nesting their having.” He thought to himself, as his superiors had tasked him with guard duty, while they met with other ultranationalist supporters in the nice, air conditioned shack that he was guarding. “I sure hope I get payed..”*
"At first glance, Tarduk thought he might have been made of plants. He was tall and green, with thorns jutting out from his arms and legs and intertwined roots crisscrossing his chest. His eyes were an emerald so dark they were almost black. His arms were long, with thick vines wrapped around them, and more thorns served as his claws. Even his sword looked like it was a green and growing thing, though sharp and deadly…”

I wanted to create a unique interpretation of the iconic Gotham city from the Batman Mythology instead of attempting to replicate an existing version. This Gotham is structured vertically with three distinct districts stacked on top of each other.

Sneaky and cunning from birth, Xuan Ren attacks from ambush. An extremely dangerous adversary.
Inspired by my old childhood drawing (hanging on the wall at the left side) and a character of the same name.
