589 was new to Lothian Buses in 2017 as 589.
She is seen here at Regent Road.
In 2017, Lothian Buses ordered 20 new Volvo B5LH buses for Skylink Service 200, which had recently made Double Decker, and for use on the existing 300 and 400 services.
In 2019, This Bus received the Lothian Buses Standard Livery and was no longer used for Airport Services, instead being used on Longstone services, mainly the Service 34.
In 2020, Lothian Buses had to commence a "Special Coronavirus Network" due to the national outbreak. Because of this, 589 was transferred to Central (where all services were based during the network,) where it ran Lothian Country and Lothian City services.
In 2021, She was transferred back to Longstone Depot where she resumed her normal duties.
In 2022, Lothian Buses started repainting all of the Ex-Skylink batch, where where they would find themselves being repainted into the "Lothian Country" livery, which is shared with East Coast Buses.
These buses retained their luggage racks when they were repainted into the Lothian Country livery.
She is seen doing a Part Route to Newbridge whilst doing additional X18 journeys during the "Harry Styles Concert" at Murrayfield Stadium.

Built in 1974 for the Dutch Army.
The vehicles were retired in the 1990's and sold to the public.
MHE 300M, a DAF 66 YA, photographed at Grandborough, Warwickshire. We had just been chatting to the owners, and during the lockdown, the Mr missed drinking his beer in the ,local pubs more than anything else. Quite fitting parked outside the Shoulder of Mutton!

This vehicle wears the Lothian Country green & white Fleet Of The Future livery and is one of a batch of 20 of its type in their fleet. You can still see city-spec seat moquette inside it as this was not changed when it moved over from the city fleet.

It’s three o’ clock on a November afternoon and fleet number 589 - in the 2021 dark green and white colour scheme for both EastCoastbuses and Lothiancountry - was captured at the Waverley Steps bus stops working route 43 to Queensferry. Rising up behind is the bulk of the Balmoral Hotel, the first property acquired by Rocco Forte Hotels.
SJ 67 MHE is a Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini new to the Lothian Buses fleet in September 2017 as their number 589.
