Happy Caturday from our super-sweet and adorably tactile little treasure, Mel. He was 5 months old when we adopted him (together with Louis) 10 years ago next weekend yet he still looks - and acts - like a kitten most of the time.

Mel's Drive In on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California. One of the few remaining Googie style buildings in Southern California, it was the previously the location for the coffee shop Ben Franks, a well known hangout of famous rockers in the 60s and 70s.
Mel felt joy at the sim, but was disheartened with her Flickr and decided to delete it. She captured this photo, and I found it to be wonderful. If you appreciate the picture, please let her know to encourage her to continue.

Mel-ting in the sunshine but usually he's just all melty for love and snuggles. Perhaps the sweetest, loveliest cat I've ever known - Mel loves everyone, even if he acts like he's terrified at first. He's definitely the peacekeeper and telly addict in our family.
