Coupa Software hosted a group of approximately 30 members of a Japanese delegation from non-profit Japanese government organizations JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and FCOCA (Fukuoka Center of Overseas Commerce in America). The group consisted of Ruby language enthusiasts, including government officials, engineering students and technology leaders, and Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto.
The combo mentored by bassist Jon Hamar performs in Wheeler Theater, during the 2016 Port Townsend Jazz Workshop.

A Branko Documentary Film
In order to present the Main Characters of the Documentary, a TV Program is artificially created. It is called: "Brazil TV" Mss. Silvana Wiltgen, plays the Interviewer and meets the Freanch-Algerian Painter, Yacine Hachani, who gives a candid talk of his work. Mss. Wiltgen also meets the Poet, Mr. Marty Matz, who graciously and in Spanish and English, answers Mss. Wiltgen's questions. Mr. Matz was part of the Beat Group of Jack Kerouac, Philip Lamantia, and Bob Kaufman.
A couple of his books are, TIME WAITS: SELECTED POEMS (JMF Publishing, 1987) and PIPE DREAMS (1989). Mr. Matz travelled extensively in Mexico, South America, South East Asia. In New he read at the Chelsea Hotel with longtime friends Herbert Huncke and Ira Cohen.
During his last years, he became a celebrated poet in Italy. Ira Cohen was an American Poet, publisher, photographer and filmmaker.
Mr. Cohen lived in Morocco, Kathmandu, and travelled the world. Mr. Cohen's Archive, is located at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Yale University. He wrote and published extensively.
Yacine Hachani: After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Algiers, his hometown, Yacine Hachani settled a short time in Paris before opting for New York in 1992. There, the success is immediate but everything is interrupted with September 11, 2001
Marty Matz, Beat Poet. Marty's poetry was a unique fusion of Surrealism, Lyricism and Beatitude.

Ira Cohen was an American poet, publisher, photographer and filmmaker. Cohen lived in Morocco and in New York City in the 1960s, he was in Kathmandu in the 1970s and traveled the world in the 1980s, before returning to New York, where he spent the rest of his life. Cohen died of kidney failure on April 25, 2011.

Jeff Matz (High On Fire / Omens Of Awe / Zeke) got his custom 12-String back from First Act (repair job, long story). It's the most beastly bass I've ever seen / heard / played. Four courses of three strings. So mainey. It sounds massive, even through that little Orange amp.

High On Fire (il cui frontman è Matt Pike degli Sleep) sono in tour con il loro ultimo lavoro intitolato "Luminifereous".
Gli High on Fire sono un gruppo musicale statunitense di Stoner/Doom metal. Formati da Matt Pike nel 1998 dopo lo scioglimento degli Sleep insieme al batterista Den Kensel ed all'amico chitarrista George Rice passò al basso. Il contratto con la Relapse Records li ha portati all'attenzione del pubblico mondiale divenendo in breve tempo uno dei gruppi principali dell'etichetta.
