Durch den niederschlagsarmen Sommer 2013 sind Teile des Maisfeldes verdorrt. Die Spuren des Traktors sind ebenfalls nicht zugewachsen. Der Mais wird allerdings nur für die Produktion von "Biodiesel" verwendet.
Die Aufnahme wurde nördlich von Bitburg-Matzen mit einem Deltadrachen mit angehängter Kamera auf Höhe des 50° Breitengrades aufgenommen.
Die Flughöhe der Kamera betrug etwa 100 m.
Viele andere Orte bzw. Städte befinden sich auch auf dieser geometrischen Linie des Erdballs:
Wittlich, Mainz, Prag, Krakau, Winnipeg, Kiew...

Members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 120th Field Artillery fired their first rounds from their newly fielded M777 155-mm howitzers. The live-fire exercise culminated the battalion’s transition from the M119 105-mm howitzer, a smaller cannon. The battalion also expanded, formally adding Battery C to its formation. The larger cannons allows the battalion to provide a more diverse and robust fire support mission, and the addition of Battery C marks the first expansion of field artillery in the Wisconsin Army National Guard in decades.
