One day I was walking to my work and was astonished at the view of people rushing on daily errands against the red background of the Macy's store that had covered its walls for renovation. The next day I took camera with me. (I would shoot it different now).

Macy's Herald Square (originally named the R. H. Macy and Company Store) is the flagship of the Macy's department store chain; it is located on Herald Square in Manhattan, New York City. The building's 2,500,000 square feet which includes 1,250,000 square feet of retail space, makes it among the largest department stores in the United States. The store has stood at the site since 1901.
We took a few days and went to New York to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with 3 Million other people. We had a great time.

Macy’s Herald Square. Gosh, this shopping mall killed me. No, not as you might expect. Not because Daria had to go shopping for dresses.
It was just that I’m a sucker for colours. And I absolutely loved how they installed the rainbow colours for the Pride celebration at Macy’s.

The fireworks located on the Brooklyn Bridge. I took the shot from Staten Island about 5.8 miles away.
Former Macy*s Lakewood Department Store. After the merger and take over of the Robinsons-May Chain. Macy*s closed this department store location, which was only a few years old and moved into the larger older Robinsons-May Department Store building located in another section of the Lakewood Mall. This is Macy's II, a designation this store gained after Macy's parent company took over Hecht's parent company and converted this store into a Macy's (the original Macy's is called Macy's I).
The familiar red Macy's lettering was recently removed from the light grey building, top center. The company closed many stores in this area as well as moving it's headquarters...Cincinnati's loss.

Warhammer and Nexo Knights seem like a perfect match to me. I don’t play the table top games but I really like the vehicle designs and imagery.
Pointers from Jerac (www.flickr.com/photos/jerac/5164163208) and Slnine (flic.kr/p/q6dhmy) are clearly evident in this one, specifically the scale and design of the tracks.
I tried to come up with my own solutions to achieving the angles and offsets, and I hope it compliments their incredible creations.
Macy's fireworks last night off Chelsea Piers. Pier C in Hoboken would have been a good spot, but the park was closed. The pier in the foreground was closer to the fireworks, but it also looks more crowded than my spot on Sinatra Drive.
Opened in 1990 as a replacement for a smaller store at the mall that opened in 1966. That store has since been converted into additional mall space.
