Two competing male stag beetles Cyclommatus bicolor (25mm, Coleoptera, Lucanidae). Collection specimens from Chiang Mai, N. Thailand (July 2019).

 

Studio work with dried specimens (rehydrated and staged). Focus bracketing, 37 images, assembled in Zerene Stacker (Pmax & Dmap). Canon EOS M6 mark II, EF 100mm macro 1:2.8L IS USM; ISO-100, f/3.2, 1/10sec, -1.7 step, diffused natural and ledlight.

A lengthy exposure of the M6 motorway (freeway for y'all in the good old US of A).

Despite looking like a peaceful spot, the M6 passing over Gathurst does add quite a lot of background noise. Crossing the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, 769456 works 2W16 Alderley Edge to Southport.

Shot these back in January when I visited Japan for Speedhunters. Dino had this press car so we decided to take it up to Mt. Tsukuba and do a shoot... pretty stoked on how they turned out considering how quick and minimal the shoot and processing was.
