The small Leicestershire town of Lutterworth, seen from St Mary's Churchyard.
Frank Whittle developed the jet engine here and John Wycliffe's bones were thrown in the River Swift. We searched for them as little children but never found any!
I was born in this town so I am quite fond of it.

Very grimy LMS 'Black Five' 4-6-0 45217 with an excursion service on the Great Central, near Lutterworth, in April 1962.
The loco was withdrawn in November 1966, and scrapped in June 1967. No less than eighteen of the class have been preserved.
The lines through Lutterworth closed completely in 1969, and today almost all traces of the tracks have disappeared..
