This is a replica of the famous Dornier Do B Merkur from the twenties. It was one of the first airliner to carry passengers on scheduled routes for the German aircarrier Lufthansa
(exhibited in the Dornier museum, Friedrichshafen, Germany.

An undated image of this very early 737 (line number 2, though the tenth example to be delivered to Lufthansa, on 24 April 1968). It served with the company until 1 February 1983. Its subsequent operators were Far Eastern Air Transport, America West and Ansett New Zealand. It was retired by the latter in 1993 and broken up in late 1995.
