The Table of Champions

It's roped off with a velvet rope. They serve you with REAL plates and silverware. PERFECT way to impress a date for the evening.

Words cannot describe the situation that led to this event. Needless to say, what happens on deployment sometimes doesn't stay on deployment.

Guadalupe caught absolutely everyone by suprise when they made the semi-finals of the Gold Cup.

I'm not even sure how they were in the tournament as they are a protectorate of France and not even their own country.

But I guess if Puerto Rico can get FIFA membership, Guadalupe can eventually anyhow.

Funny thing was, had they won the tournament, it would have been the second place team that represented CONCACAF at the Confederations Cup.

Thankfully, Mexico dispatched of the upstarts though there were some skittish moments.

Guadalupe actually took a shock 1-0 lead.

Mexico then showed that they had higher level players (though Guadalupe has a couple of Coca Cola Championship players on their team) and just dominated the second half.

This guy was actually getting excited about something that occurred before a goal was even scored.

I love that Mexican fans where wrestling masks. Though I won't make a joke about immigration here.

I got some luchador masks at the Edmonton Heritage Festival. Then I made this.

CicLAvia - Iconic Wilshire Boulevard event in Los Angeles. El enmascarado, a Mexican tradition.

Nelda in a Lucho Libre mask. The band handed out Lucho Libre masks. Lucho Libre means "Free Fighters"; and is similar to WWE in America.

Not something that you would normally see on a market however the Mexican wrestling masks which are now famous the world over can be bought in abundance.
