The name of the village of Lower Slaughter stems from the Old English name for a wet land 'slough' or 'slothre' (Old English for muddy place) upon which it lies. This quaint village sits beside the little Eye stream and is known for its unspoilt limestone cottages in the traditional Cotswold style.
The stream running through the village is crossed by two small bridges.
VOTED MOST ROMANTIC STREET IN BRITAIN
Copse Hill Road in Lower Slaughter, Gloucestershire Cotswolds, has been named as the most romantic street in Britain in a poll for Google Street View.
Quaint little cabin in Lower Stanley, Idaho.
You can't see it in this image but besides the jaw dropping backdrop of the Sawtooths, this cabin overlooks the mighty Salmon River flowing at the base of the hill it sets upon.
We took my nephew to Yosemite. He and I hiked back to get a better look at lower falls, and on the way back he broke his leg. A beautiful place, with a story. My nephew was ok, and still says this is one of his favorite places!!
I have so many shots from this amazing place and am just now getting to a lot of them. I went a bit nuts in these canyons shooting:-)). Hope you don't get sick of seeing them. Have a great weekend everyone.

I guess my mind is on the West. Here's one from the archives. Funny to look back and see what camera you had then too.

A half-second exposure of a cascade below Merriman Falls near Olympic National Park, with moss-covered boulders in the foreground.
Lower Yellowstone Falls and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. I took this shot back in 2006, shortly after I bought my first DSLR. I somehow had the white balance set for fluorescent lighting and at that time I didn't do any post processing. I have learned a lot since then. It's actually a decent shot after a post processing makeover! HSS
A view of Lower Antelope Slot canyon near Page, Arizona. This is a 5 exposure hdr followed by Lucisart processing to bring out the texture. I also pushed the color saturation but did not add color or colorize the image in any way.

Lower Racehorse Falls, Whatcom County. Nice surprise finding this great spot. Was a short easy hike in and well worth a visit.
The road to Lower Diabaig from Torridon was one of the most enjoyable and attractive of our trip. After passing through Torridon itself, it climbs as it passes the car park provided for those climbing Beinn Alligin. It then passes above the villages of Inveralligin and Alligin Shuas before climbing inland steeply to cross the Bealach na Gaoithe. At the end of the road is a must stop and recommended restaurant Gille Brighde
Lower Thornton Lake as viewed from the trail leading down to the lake's outlet, North Cascades National Park, Washington State.
Yellowstone National Park….While there are many waterfalls in Yellowstone Park, the lower falls are the most visited and viewed. These falls have a 308 ft drop! Thunderous noise on impact. Unfortunately I only had my iPhone with me and it didn’t focus well. I’m still very pleased that I have my memories of it!
Gold digging, white-baiting, fishing were all activities this area has endured. Life in the lower Southern Alps.
Mist and clouds rolled down from Upper Neuadd :-) Happy sunrise !!!!
