Macro Mondays 'heart' theme.
A vintage amethyst and gold necklace, originally owned by my Nana. I've had it for about fifty years and she had it for many years before giving it to me. It's a bit worn and could do with a good clean. It's displayed here on a piece of amethyst crystal which was sent to me by a very kind Flickr friend, all the way from Canada.
The image measures just under 2" in width.

For Definitely Dreaming Week 7 theme of Love is. The city may look scruffy, a bit dirty in places and in need of revitalisation, but at night it is gorgeous.
I don't often get out at night as i live in the outer suburbs and prefer to have a friend with me when wandering around at night, on public transport etc
I meant to upload this earlier in February when taken but better late than never!! Taken with my mobile phone!!

I think he has quite the crooked face, but I thought he looked so cute, I couldn't resist.
He is going to work out just fine.
Love is a very mysterious thing. They way you love your pets is far different then your Mother or Father. And once again not the same as your brother, etcetera. Every relationship you have ever been in is another different Love.

Alyeska's first Pride festival experience. Lots of people, dogs, noise and activities--she did have to be carried a lot, but she handled it all really well for the most part. 😊

today my dad and i each had the shock of our lives!
i decided to surprise him and cook him a roast . . . cough, cough
my first time ever ......... and i mean ever!!
i brought it already cooked over to his house ( for the surprise factor )
proudly i place it on the kitchen table . . . huh? a beautiful bouquet pink roses?
"who got you these? " i ask . . shyly he says " they're for you, it's valentine's day"
oh! he had never bought my mom flowers that i could remember :( . . . let alone me!
i don't know who was more shocked , me . . .
or him?
some of you may already know i am a non meat eater ( 25 yrs ) , so to handle and cook a piece of dead muscle
is truly love . . .

dad served himself , cut off a hunk , he doesn't do slices :~)
i just watched like a little kid, i was more happy than him
until he started wiping his eyes ( poor guy ) dad was crying,
then to cover up went to the cupboard and gave me
a visine bottle and said "this stuff is susposed to be for red-eye
and all it does it make my eyes water"
i know how hard it must've been for him to swallow
i was choked up . . .
Be happy! Learn to share...
This is the best advice I can give you for the next 2016.
It seems that we need so little (or so much?) to be happy!!!
