A few days ago, I was strolling around in the Nymphenburg Palace Park. It was a warm, sunny autumn afternoon, the colors of the autumn leaves were simply beautiful.
I walked past the bench under the trees - I really liked the warm light from the low sun, the long shadows, the colorful trees and the silhouette of the man on the bench, lost in thought, looking over the lake.
Yes, autumn is here. No doubt.
Lens: Nikon 105mm f/1.8 AI-s (yes, quite old school - but very nice for this moment :) )

Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.

I wonder where this ladies thoughts were, as she sat for a long time alone on the bench... lost in thought.

… no matter where.
I was intrigued by the stage like setting and the light reflected by the skyscrapers. I chose a low angle and waited for a passerby to fill the stage with life :-)

Her figure clothed in armour highlited but the light falling through the large window accentuates her lost in thought. She questions her worthiness to be an elven warrior as she was selected to also care for the baby born. Her motherly instinct manifests in many ways but the ambience of the moonlit night and the breathing of her charge brings her to solace and that in which she questions her worthiness to the forest beyond these walls.
Hi There!
Yesterday, I had the lovely experience of spotting a small group of deer. This was the youngest one who always seemed to lag behind and "do its own thing." (A familiar theme in my life LOL)! If you look, you'll see a little frost on the fur.
Thanks a million for your comments and views, they are all very appreciated!

I won't be posting for about a week or two - I have become overwhelmed with catching up on things that were supposed to be completed weeks ago, and that's not including the pressure/preperation for a short film that I will be working on this week and into the next.
I'm here in body, but only half here in mind.
when I've found my other coherent half of myself that's wandered off , I'll be back soon to post and comment on your photos.
:-)
LOST IN THOUGHTS
How do you guys feel today? I hope you are all good! I know that the photography theme here in Chicago last week was shooting the Chicago henge and I kinda wrapped myself in it. While practicing social distancing, and keeping a safe distance a friend and I went out in attempt to capture that light from a different perspective. Sun was blasting the golden light straight up the river that morning for sure! What do you think?
Another shot taken in the Tate Modern in London during my recent photowalk. I loved the stripes of text printed on coloured paper adorning the walls of a concrete staircase, however when I got to the top this lady was leaning against the concrete wall examining the artwork. I loved the mustard colour of her coat and the semi-shiny nature of the leather and matching hat which added colour and texture to the lower half of the image and balanced the colourful top half and added some depth to an otherwise flat shot. Lying in the dark, she let her thoughts drift, without trying to catch them.
Faded memories, dreams barely touched, desires she dared not name.
The silence was soft, almost conspiratorial.
Her finger brushed her lips absentmindedly, as if to keep a secret...
Or maybe just to feel she was still there , alive, vibrant, in that suspended moment.
Tomorrow, she’d take back control. But tonight… she allowed herself the luxury of thinking about nothing.
Or everything.
