Energy security is top of Brussels’ agenda. How can we increase our independence from Russian oil and gas? How can we achieve real security and avoid being locked into an unsustainable energy model?
This workshop will allow key stakeholders from the energy sector, as well as policymakers, to discuss the possibilities for breaking Europe's dependence on Russian gas and oil. Through the development and deployment of energy efficiency measures, Europe can reduce consumption and dependence on energy imports, as well as drive competitiveness and growth, creating local jobs and business opportunities within Europe whilst guaranteeing our Energy security.
Vice President Maroš Šefčovič for Energy Union will give a keynote speech on what role energy efficiency will play in the future energy security as well as the Energy Union.
The workshop will be followed by a cocktail reception.
Interpretation will be provided in English and French.
This event will be livestreamed.

John Nahrgang ordained a deacon, one step closer to priesthood
Photos by Billy Hardiman and story by Ambria Hammel, The Catholic Sun.
In his final minutes as a lay Catholic, seminarian John Nahrgang smiled in anticipation of the big moment. That would come immediately following the proclamation of the Gospel at the May 28 televised and livestreamed Mass at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, when a chair was placed at the foot of the altar and Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted ordained Nahrgang — a convert to Catholicism — a deacon.
Men who are ordained to the transitional diaconate are one step closer to their ultimate calling to serve the Church as priests. Providentially, Nahrgang’s ordination to the diaconate took place on Ascension Sunday, when the Church recalls Christ’s words to His disciples that they would receive power from the Holy Spirit and become His witnesses to the world.
“You, my son, have been waiting for this day of ordination for several years,” Bishop Olmsted said. “Now the waiting is over — from this day forward, you will be a public witness to Jesus Christ in communion with me and my successors.”

Update. Google announces about the new google glass.
readwrite.com/2013/02/20/google-glass-augmented-reality-p...
In 2007 I started waring my Logitech camera for Justin.tv everywhere I go. At bboy dance battle, driving, riding a bike through out San Francisco. I was already taking live streaming to a new level with thousands of followers on www.justin.tv/mooncricket.
I went to all the tech shows such as Macworld and NAB in 2007-2010 wearing this camera on my glasses. People thought it was the coolest thing at the tech shows but thought I was weird on the streets lol.
At these tech events I would always try and speak to Logitech and other camera and live stream companies that make gadgets about my designs and ideas. They would not speak with me and give me the run around. I even had the design sketched out for my blue tooth wireless webcam to your computer or phone at the time. Voice command I use to goof around and act like I was controlling it with my voice as I always felt like I was Robocop wearing the glasses. Now many companies are coming out with these live stream products as if they came up with something new. If only I was not looked at as just a indy filmmaker trying to make it. How do you get these companies to sit and listen to my innovated ideas before they come out month or years later by others that may come up with the same idea later?
So if I fill out the application to try and be selected I don't understand why I would have to buy the $1500 to enter?

Day 36 at Occupy Dame Street, Ireland. Video of fiddle players playing fiddle very kindly donated and sent over by Occupy Pittsburgh. This performance was livestreamed online with Occupy Pittsburgh livestreaming their own fiddleplayers for a 'fiddle off'. They were joined by some other traditional musicians.
Occupy Dame Street is a protest occupation in front of the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin city centre. Calling for a change in the economic, political and social situation in Ireland and for direct participatory democracy. Expressing dissent against the bailouts, management of the "financial crisis" and current economic policy. The protest is unaffiliated to any political party or organisation and offers multiple alternatives. In concert with over 1000 other actions taking place around the world.
Hundreds of Vietnamese youth across the country joined the online UN75 Youth Forum to discuss the future they want, a key theme of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event, which was livestreamed for the first time in Viet Nam, allowed young people to share their views on development issues of their choice, namely climate change and environment as well as equality, to create the future they want. The topics of discussion were selected by youth themselves through the UN75 Youth Forum online survey conducted earlier. More than 800 Vietnamese young people participated in the survey.
The Forum also featured the “Power of Music,” in which the renowned Composer Quoc Trung, the founder of the Hanoi Monsoon Music Festival, and Hoang Thai Vu named as “the Prince of Vietnamese Indie Music” by the Billboard International, shared their thoughts on how music can unite and connect people worldwide.
