Every morning my daughter wakes me with an animal sound and I pretend to wake up. Then we walk together in the living room and I lift her in her seat. Then I sit down next to her, put milk and two spoons of sugar in my cup which already contains my coffee. I stir the coffee and put the spoon on the plate you can see here.
I put my feet on the foot board of my daughter's trip trap chair, take my iPad and check the newest pictures of my flickr friends: maybe one of Clara's socks, Lisa's umbrellas, one of Sonya's jumps or Kenny's solar powered prayer wheel …
Or one of my own pictures. Like the one here, a result of another ritual. Every time I get a new camera I have to load a film or card immediately. I'm not allowed to check the manual. And I shoot boring things, mostly out of the window, because I can't wait to see the first results. I have tons of pictures with the same boring out-of-the-window scene. This is one of them.
