Despite the 355 km drive from Delhi to Longowal, feeling fresh and ready-for-action the next morning for my talks, even though this photo was clicked sometime later in the day. Quite loved the badge they pinned on all the speakers for the events.

My little man.

His surgery was yesterday and they let us take him home this morning. I have to admit, Britt and I chuckled when we first saw him hobbling down the hallway with his big fat bandaged leg. He was so excited to see us, he didn’t seem to be in much pain at all. But now… he’s hating every second of it and it’s just breaking my heart. :( He can’t get comfortable. He can’t really walk. He doesn’t want to lay down. He’s just miserable and it’s killin’ me. He has a post-op appointment on Monday to have his bandage changed and I’m not sure what to expect after that. I’m sure at some point, we’ll be responsible for changing his bandages. Ooohh… I can hear him whimpering as I type this. :( I wish I could explain to him that he’s going to get better. He doesn’t know that part. He probably thinks “This is it. Life sucks now. I’m broken. Forever.”
