Found on the Lake Michigan shoreline at Saugatuck State Park. This use to be the joint of two or three tree limbs. Happy Macro Monday!

A 'little Chickadee' bird stands boldly out on a limb. They are small in stature as you can tell by its surround, but fast and feisty when pursuing their food at feeds and on shrubs.
Normally I zoom in closer but really liked the context here to show off its size.

Ocellated Skink (Chalcides Ocellatus)
my second of its kind nab again in Greece on the island of Rhodes
It is a long cylindrical lizard with short legs with five fingers. Thanks to the undulations of his body, he digs loose sand, a process that evokes swimming. Other species that do this have a more serpent-like appearance than the Ocellated Skink, with their limbs reduced with only three fingers, if any. Unusually for a burrowing lizard, it has eyelids and, its brown body is covered in smooth, shiny scales
This alligator seems to sun itself on the same log most days.It is one of the most photographed animals at the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge got it's name from the shape of the river, not due to the fact that there are alligators in the waters. This gator probably lost it's limb from either another gator or a snapping turtle. It seems to have adapted pretty well to having 3 limbs.
One yawned at me when taking the image with beak wide open, We were in the boat on the lake and when drove up to the limbs most of the birds were sitting on these two stayed the rest of them flew away into the sunset. The one that yawned was expressing get out of my space, The other one the mate I suppose was saying you go girl. If you are hanging I am sticking with you

An old limb stretched his fingers upwards rustling hints of a faded autumn white it touched the others around him. A creation of wild confusion competing for the light while lush green layers cover the grey nurturing the aging limb. It will survive another spring. - Lynn Reket.

As if by magic. Returning from the store I found the seeds on the deck were gone. As soon as I put more out, about 30 sparrows instantly appeared.

a little evergreen, juniper or red cedar many debate over this trees name, juniper berries but smells like cedar. This macro shot was the loser for the toss up on green and black.
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says,
“Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times,
the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived
while I was strong.
Continue my heritage,
I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely
the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease,
my soul is at rest.
Remembering all,
how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions,
no matter how small.
Go on with your life,
don’t worry about falls.
I miss you all dearly,
so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes
we’re together again.”
