I'm so happy my favourite time of the year, the Halloween season is almost here:-)
For this work i took a shot from Sunday (the fairy lights on the balcony of my daughter's neighbour) I overlayed with the cat png's using Pixlr and added bird png's. For the side panel of the diptych i used another shot, where i did lightplay whilst capturing the lights.
Pour m'amuser un jour de novembre lors d'un rare rayon de soleil pénétrant par la porte-fenêtre! Fun to play with sun and glass.!!!
Morning lightplay - San Benito County California
The more I get into photography, the more I love to study and take landscapes. It is a fun learning process. My friend Rene Rodriguez (who commented below) is one of my biggest inspirations. He has an eye and talent far beyond his years behind the lens. Seeing his images a year or two ago really opened my eyes and inspired me to follow the light more often. If you don't follow Rene, I encourage you to do so. His work is incredible.
In the past, I used to go out and big lens hunt too much. Nowadays, I love to do research, study the weather, and try to be at the right place at the right time for a dramatic landscape. This morning I was up early to get a sunrise shot, but it didn't materialize. Instead, this scene unfolded, and it was just as exciting watching the lightplay unfold.
At the beginning of winter we had lots of moisture out west and conditions were ideal for low fog mornings. Since that time we haven’t received any rain at all. Good photography hinges heavily on precipitation. It provides rain which grows green grass, and wildflowers in spring. It creates a snowpack in the Sierra which provides epic winter scenes. And it creates fog, which is something I look forward to the most. Unfortunately, this winter started with a bang and is ending on a whimper. We haven’t had a normal winter in California in 3 years. And have only received two in the last 10.
