Light play.

I don't usually take food pictures. However, as I was having brunch I looked down at the spoon I had placed in my little cup of maple syrup. The deep reddish color of the syrup contrasted with the light playing in the bowl of the spoon containing the syrup. I seem to find beauty in the mundane a lot more these days. Or perhaps it was just the delicious meal with my family....
