ST RUPO approaches Blue Rock Road passing the site of Libby's Pit, a former sand and gravel pit served by the Maine Central. A scrap metal recovery operation at the pit that was active on the site into the mid-1980s resulted in the EPA declaring it a Superfund site in 2012.
A couple of weeks ago I was thrilled to attend a photography workshop which Dave Brosha {www.flickr.com/photos/brosha/} put on for Sackville Photography Club. I was really interested in learning more about lighting, but when the time came I joined a couple of other folks in the "natural light" group. The historic home we used had gorgeous windows and wonderful architectural details. If you don't know Dave's work, please check it out..AMAZING stuff!!
The two gorgeous models here are Jake and Libby from Halifax.
I'm breaking one of my own rules here (posting more than one version of a shot), but since desaturated Libby is getting so much traction on another social/sharing site, I'm posting this version here too. I like 'em both!
Such a great companion on these cold days, Libby with her Mona Lisa smile. This was taken with another of my recently adapted rangefinder lenses, this one the Konica Hexanon 45mm f1.6. I'm having a blast with these old lenses, some of them really remarkable.

Here you can see part of her missing eye is still in there; I don’t want to have to open up her head or go digging around in there to get that out, and it’s not interfering with her neck joint (or hug-ability!) at all, so I think a cool eye patch is in her future. I mean, once I’m able to freely get to my bin of fabric. :^/
Libby all curled up in a blanket. It's rainy, 57 degrees, and winds 10 MPH out of the north. No wonder they rescheduled the Daytona 500.
An all GRS lashup of 300s no less handles today PORU. To be honest, I never thought I'd shoot another all Guilford set, much less the ailing plain-jane GP40s.
Having just pulled off the freight main at Leeds Jct, PORU starts the trek up into Western Maine seen here at Libby's Pit in Wales, ME
my cousin is a polymer clay artist and within the last year has been doing these layered pieces. she made this for me and I'm including it so you get a sense of where/how the closer-in portions fit in, especially the corner one that is probably going to be my posting.
