I adore seahorses - I think they are such cute looking fish. I saw some (real ones) on the internet with a fantastic yellow color and spots and tried to recreate them here...
Supplies:
Stamps: CL451 Sea Life, CL372 Oceans of Joy, K5133 Swirl with flowers.
Paper: Core'dinations cs, bazzill cs.
Inks: Ranger Distress (mustard seed, antique linen, shabby shutters, peeled paint, tumbled glass, walnut stain).
Other: Hero Arts Pearls, Copics.
The background for this card is Ranger gloss paper, stamped with Stampendous' CRR116 Geo Bubbles cling stamp using a Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop in Bahama Blue. I used the white crayon resist method to highlight certain areas of the design. Then I used Ranger blending tools and foam to swirl on Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, and Broken China Distress Inks.
The whale and the sentiment are both from Hero Arts' CL372 Oceans of Joy clear set. I stamped the whale onto 140# watercolor paper using Ranger Archival Ink (waterproof) in black. Then I colored it in with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. I added a "highlight" to the whale's eye using a Uniball Signo opaque white pen and then covered the eye with Glossy Accents to give it shine. The whale is attached with foam squares for dimension.
The sentiment was also stamped on watercolor paper. I used a corner rounder to round the edges of one end and tied metallic purple elastic string at the other end for interest. It is also attached with foam squares for dimension.
