Somehow I imagined that sparklers were the safest form of fireworks – and perhaps they are. But for a 3-year-old, it's still playing with fire. Gramma Tea has learned an important lesson!

When the girl at Baskin-Robbins didn't offer to write anything on the ice cream cake I'd purchased, I should've realized that asking her to do so would be a mistake. Not that I could've done any better.

Right after yesterdays smile, I had to turn back to my dark-side ;-)
Had a blast with a friend who came over for diner and she even agreed to pose for me. This was harder then I though, since I'm used to shooting myself. But directing someone and having them wait while I adjust the light do some testshots etc, is a whole different thing and not yet within my comfort zone, but definatly something I want to do.
Overall it was a great excersise and I'm eager to start processing the images of her.
This shot was taken inbetween shots to test the light.

I wanted to try two new materials at once: Alpaca locks and liquid latex. Bad idea.
Well, actually three new things as I decided to glue the locks right on the fabric wig cap -__-" Needless to say I had not as much of control I use to have when wig making and will try again. Next time I will work "slower": latex glued wefts!
Anyway, the wig came out pretty, far from perfect, lots of learned lessons and was so much fun to play with <3

More than 130 Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) employees from across the depot successfully completed and exceeded established goals during the 2017 JMC Outload Assessment Exercise April 3-6, 2017.
The assessment was held to validate “surge” outload capabilities that would replicate a real world surge outload capability operation using specific vessel requirements.
Throughout the exercise, an on-site evaluation team from Joint Munitions Command provided guidance and assistance while documenting outload process steps and evaluating lessons learned and potential best practices.

Apparently I'm stuck on pink again. :-P You can't see it, but my nails are also painted pink at the moment.
So, I'm trying to think outside the box lately. Not with my photography per se, but with life in general. I had a rather disappointing encounter recently and fortunately I learned a lesson--curb your enthusiasm! :-P
Thinking outside the box.....we all fall into this rut. The proverbial rut of doing the same thing over and over and over and over.....you get the picture. Well, the same goes for me. Particularly in my personal life. I tend to be a creature of habit in my ways. I am trying so hard to work on a new approach to personal matters. So, I have decided to think outside the box. In other words, actually try to listen to others' words of wisdom.
Thinking outside the box....finding a new perspective....trying something out of the ordinary....breaking old habits....making new habits.....leaving old, worn out, unnecessary things behind......welcoming new experiences...living life in a new way.....starting over fresh....accepting the advice and help from others after years of being stubborn enough to say "I can do it" yet remaining an independent woman.
Met up with Yvonne yesterday and had a nice evening shooting pics. It was actually my first model shoot and it was personally a while new experience to have someone in front of your cam. Luckily she was a good sport and we had a great time. Will post some more later.
BTW, her hair is really that red!
