I remember seeing an image of this island on my computer desktop, (operated on window7). I, insanely, fall in love with this place, and dreamed of getting there. Did not know what it was and were… This mysterious (to me) place is one of the famous iconic landmarks in Canada. A tiny island, slightly attached to the land, on Maligne Lake, Jasper Natioanl Park, is called Spirit Island. Getting there is tricky. You have two options: easy one, by tour boat (and spend 20 minutes on shore), or hard one, by canoe/kayak (and have the whole island to yourself). What did we choose? It is coming up next.
Thanks for your visits, favs and comments. As always, appreciated very much!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is an orange day at Color my World daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is Lens flare. Of course, we have Mr. Teddy Bear with us, in order to celebrate Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays.
As we all know by now, Mr. Teddy Bear is a miniature… But being a man of the house, he still has do all the “manly” stuff, like changing bulbs. Since Princess is working, Mr. Teddy Bear is in charge of the house. He has to do all the chores all by himself. He is very good at it and he likes it… well… most of the time. But changing a bulb in the big standing lamp in his living is quite a challenge. Of course, he has to use his super huge telescopic ladder. First of all he has to turn the electricity off. Then he has to make sure that he has the bulb with him. Climbing up takes him several long minutes. Then he has to change the bulb and get down… another several minutes spend… and then he has to turn the electricity back on and see if everything works…As you can see: the lamp is working. I took the picture juste in time to catch this awesome lens flare in Photoshop. I just hope it will be accepted for this challenge.
Have a beautiful day ! Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
FYI: yesterday I had some major Internet problems (we had to rewired everything since we will destroy some walls for our expansion project). So once again, I couldn’t answer your awesome comments. I apologize and I will catch up as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!
.... but I love it..
This shot was by my most recent home made camera (3B).
I knew this relationship was going to be a disaster, but went into it hoping for the best.
The Argus Cintar 50mm lens' image circle isn't wide enough to cover the Nimslo 22x72 film plane. - and the diagonal is off center.. but somehow it holds a Lomographic appeal.
I think applying this Cintar/ Nimslo to a crowd of people would render an effective claustrophobic effect.

We spent a few days in St Helens on Tasmania's north-east coast last week - this was the place we stayed at. I was experimenting with some long exposures of the house, moon and sky when I knocked the car remote during the exposure. The car's lights gave this effect with the 14mm wide-angle lens.

This photo was taken back in 2011 when I first started getting interested in photography. Just a simple snapshot I took of my daughter on our walk to school one morning. I LOVE magical moments like these. ✨✨✨
