I adore lemons....their lusciousness, taste and even in perfume. I use them all of the time in cooking and I can't wait until my Meyer lemon tree produces ripe lemons so I can bake my favorite poundcake. Oh, my cleaning supplies always are lemon scented..did I mention I love lemons?!

Today is a green day at Color my world Daily and we can definitely start to think about the weekend… Yes my friends, we officially made it trough more than a half of the week…This weekend we will celebrate my mother’s birthday I’m starting to think about my gin and tonic consumption right now. So I decided that today was a perfect day to show you my new props: tiny martini glasses (yes, I know, I’m gin and tonic lover but the tiny martini glasses were so awesome !! I couldn’t resist !!). I like them very much and I already have several concepts of pictures in my head !
Today is my usual laundry folding / running day so I have to go before I lose all my motivation and spend my day taking pictures of my tiny martini glasses instead !!

On my work bench behind the furnace in the basement I have found a zen practice of still life photography.
Using work lights, plastic boxes as filters, and paining the image during it's 8 second exposure with a flashlight.
.... and then of course came the lemonade part of the experience.
Arranging the leaves, branches, and fruit was quite frustrating.
I took that very aspect of difficulty and frustration and
channeled it into an intentional interaction with the flora.
They have to pretty much be all be in one plane to focus properly and their spacial arrangement must be composed aesthetically.
The light has to wash across them all evenly as well.
All the while like children they are jostling and moving about.
So I changed my attitude and transformed the whole drawn out experience into a ZEN meditation..... Nothing else matters during my time calmly concentrating on the steps needed to get the right shot....
And in the process I have managed to bring that same attitude to the frustrations I meet in real life... (sometimes it works, and .....

As I finished my job the other day..I was wondering to drive to this road I never been before..its a road going up to the mountains in my area..as I pass to this shack, thee is a small tree with one and only lemon fruit with it..
don't know..just thought to put tis up for a change!! have a lemon everyone! I can share it with you!!(oh, I didn't nick it!! lol i just took a photo!)

In fact it's the lemon grass of 2019 which hibernated in the basement and has only recently returned outdoors. It still looks a bit tattered but Fynn is pleased to have it back. Happy Tongue Tuesday ! :)
Lemon Reservoir (and nearby Vallecito Lake) northeast of Durango is a favorite area of locals for fishing, especially for rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon. And like so much of the San Juan National Forest area, it is so beautiful when the Aspens are turning in the early Fall...
This is a great example of where a Circular Polarizing Filter (CPL) can really help bring out natural colors in a landscape shot. I am however at the edge of using a CPL here though, as wider than 18mm and you get uneven sky color or color variations. And yes I have learned that the hard way...
