We stopped for lunch along this beautiful creek just to the east and several thousand feet lower than Yosemite National Park.
Have a great evening and weekend.

A shot from. A few years ago after purchasing the reverse grad. The noise was unbelievable and the sunrise matched it…..Mother Nature at her best

Possibly the best sunset conditions I've experienced during the heather season. The photos were practically taking themselves. I just had to deal with the high wind.

Something similar to my previous image of the Jetty, only this one is taken without the "Lee" big stopper.
Westbound tidewater loads off of the Buchanan Branch pass the signal at Virginia Lee, topping the hill over Raitt Mountain between Weller Yard and the Pokey main at Ought One.
Another stunning hidden cove at the Devon north coast is at the wee hamlet of Lee. We 'accidentally' stopped there to walk in a bluebell forest and then realised how beautiful the secluded cove with its rugged coastline is.

It was December 1970 when I shot the rear end of a westbound CB&Q freight passing the depot in the booming metropolis of Lee, Illinois. At the time, Lee had a population of 252, and currently has 327 residents, which includes Mike Schafer and his White River Publications office.
The remains of Fort Lee, built in the 1870's, at the point of the Colorado River where a ferry system was constructed to move people and goods from one side of the canyon to the other.
Today Lee's Ferry is the launch point for rafters to ride down the Colorado River.

When I had spotted them from above I was not sure if she was homeless and finding a spot away from people or not. When I came by later on my walk and spoke with her she said she gets that a lot. It was just a favorite quiet place to enjoy the sunset. She said when the road is not blocked off, cars and all sorts of folks gather down at the waters edge.
Lee had recently graduated from college and had an online graduation ceremony in 2020. A very different experience and one it sounds she did not enjoy so much after devoting so much time into her degree.
Her dog, Chloe, works as an emotional support dog for one of the local elementary schools. She was protective of Lee, but put at ease when Lee called her back. A gentle big dog.
