I'm trying to experiment with colours. Not very brave so far but I'm happy.

Greetings all! This was built for the Flag Your Kingdom Contest on Classic-Castle.

This build was quite fun to create, especially since I've never done anything oriental before. I was very pleased with how the small dojo turned out. Also, I don't think anyone has used the tile technique I used for the bridge (to create a smooth bridge). Credits for the water technique, however, go to Isaac S.

While I do like walking tank style mechs with heavy weaponry and thick boxy armor, I sometimes feel like there are many unexplored aesthetics within the mecha genre. I thought it would be fun to do a mech with more organic elements and no guns.

The Mobile Medical Unit is like a space ambulance/ER. Comes complete with two operating/recovery tables and all the supplies needed to stabilize patients before their extraction. Huge sensor array guides the MMU with uplink to the carrier vessel for increased guidance.

Yeah, I know there are hundrets of test chambers out there already, but I couldn't help myself.

Don't try to find a solution for this one, it only shows a small part of the whole chamber.

Story

Heimdall is a reconnaissance spaceship. Powered by a single yet powerful thermonuclear engine from BST (Benny Space Technologies), coupled with a high-energy particles grabber under the cockpit that helps to replenish fuel supplies on a long missions. To disperse a ridiculous amounts of heat from reactor's core a series of thermo-dump panels are mount beneath the fuselage. Being a reconnaissance ship it is also equipped with a sensors array under the cockpit and some ion cannons at each wing, you known, just in case....

Design and build

It took me more than 5 months to design and build it. A major inspiration comes from amazing artwork by Michal Kus. Especially the color-blocking and indentations at the front of the wings were a place from which I started. Along the way I shifted things my own way to suit ideas that were jumbling inside my head or I just wanted to incorporate, like the thermo-dump panels from Hamilton's series of books. There were many fun challenges along the way not only related to its geometry or color-blocking but also in making sure that this flying mosaic would be rigid. All of this required many rebuilds and tests but I had a blast doing all of this :)

Building instructions

For anyone curious how Heimdall is built or want to look at some building techniques I have created a studio model based on the actual build. It should be more handy than a regular step-by-step instructions. You can download it from here github.com/lechkulina/Heimdall

Escaping from the tomb and putting someone else in their place.

Rather than quoting Bible verses you're going to hear a whole lot today and half of you will discredit as cult utterances, I thought I'd just put this out instead: Angels, Heaven, and other aspects of our faith are concepts difficult to wrap one's head around, and right now we can't. So a lot of people dismiss them as petty imaginings and larger-than-life reflections of things we can see and touch. "Giant humans with bird wings? Haha how pagan."

Consider, just for a brief while, the implications of perhaps these being original concepts; our concepts and ideas little reflections that are missing pieces, and the only way those who saw angels or Heaven could describe them was through Earthly terms, resulting in outrageous-sounding descriptions filled with lions' heads, wheels within wheels, and a lot of gold when there simply was no way to utter the element that made their appearance unutterable. Plato, though not completely right, had hit on something with his Myth of the Cave, now you just need someone to guide you out of it...

This brief little build is also destined to be an entry for FLONAPRIL, it seems: www.flickr.com/groups/flonapril/

This is about as small as I think is possible for me to get ED-209. The grill on the back is not ideal but everything is attached to it so it's pretty crucial.

I'm thinking I can get this a bit closer at this scale...

"The Killer never seen"

Made for the MasterPiece monthly contest

Theme: Ocean

Definitely my favourite MOC. :3

I updated my old one a bit 'cos (Hopefully) this will go on display at Brickworld!

Yakovlev Yak-1 (Як-1)

A Christmas gift for my sister, Littlehaulic. It's a Lego version of her calico cat.

I did the Lego thing...because it's January...

Please ignore the ludicrously stubby arms.

I have a few things from my backlog to post as well as some more drone-y goodness coming soon, so keep an eye out!

Enjoy!

I recently read William Gibson's Virtual Light and tried to make one of the futuristic, lightweight bicycles that are described in the novel. It didn't really work out, so I just made some Akira-type motorcycles instead.

Another FebRovery M:Tron vehicle.

I'm getting there. This needs a bit of a tidy up but I'm happy with the general shape.

Door idea from Project Azazel :D ( I tried so many different options for the doors, but ultimately this was the only one I could get to work like an official set might. Ideally I'd be using those double sided doors but they don't come in black as far as I'm aware.

Just a another one of the slightly bigger scale MOCs that I like. It's been a awhile, but this was fun to build. Thanks to Markus for constantly nagging me to build again. :)

A build inspired by the beautiful LEGO Ideas GWP Flying Moon Car. A retro style Moon House that turned out very different from what I initially envisioned, but I had to work with the colors and parts available in my inventory.

Because it's Frogust!

In the Aquazone, the fight for control of the crystal mines doesn't always take place underwater. With the Aquanaut's NS2 and the Aquashark's DX5, the surface of the sea is just as fiercely contested.

These two speeders were created for the FBTB Themed Speeder Bike contest. These were designed for the Aquazone theme.
