Maybe by June we will have this showdog thing down - I don't know! LOL Back legs are pretty good here but need to work on the front. (notice my foot gently pushing the leg back into place!) Of course he fidgets every 10 seconds. The tail isn't tucked - it's wagging madly! Ghillie is the waggiest dog I've ever owned.

We will keep on practicing.......... could definately be providing the "entertainment" factor in the 12-18 month puppy class.

Then again - who knows - maybe it will "click" sometime in the next few weeks. With a flatcoat - anything can - and does - happen!

This is my first attempt at using a digital element in my cards. I was able to print the "Friends" image onto a piece of tan scrapbooking paper, then I added the embossed tree. I also distressed the edges with brown ink, something I tend to be doing more of! I also stretched myself in using darker jewel tones in this card.

This juvenile Bald Eagle made 4 passes trying to take a Male Bufflehead which wa about 20 feet from me. It turns out it wasn't the Bufflehead's turn to die today, the juvenile has a lot to learn.

Parents at the North Avondale Branch Library gain tips from a Birmingham City School System teacher on how to help their kids succeed academically, and learn about BPL Summer Learning activities being held in June and July.

Games can be excellent learning tools, yet crafting a good tutorial system is one of the most difficult areas of game design and gets at the core of why effective educational games can be so hard to make. Julia Keren-Detar (Untame) looked at several examples of various game tutorials and pull lessons learned from crafting the tutorial system in Mushroom 11, a game with an experimental control scheme. By looking at how tutorial systems teach we can takeaway some useful tools to help us design more effective games for learning.
