There's a hole in the bottle
Leakin' all this wine
It's already empty, it ain't even suppertime
Honey, no, I don't miss him
In fact, it slipped my mind
There's a hole in the bottle of wine
(Aw yeah)
I went and got a new one
'Cause the other one was broken
Now this one's halfway gone
And it's barely even open
There's a hole in the bottle (hole in the bottle)
Leakin' all this wine
It's already empty and it ain't even suppertime
Honey, no, I don't miss him
In fact, it slipped my mind
There's a hole in the bottle of wine
You may ask me where it's goin'
But I can't even find
The hole in the bottle of wine
JustTrae - Tomorrow Ain't Promised
LYRICS :
Yeah/
Cause tomorrow ain’t promised/
I been thinkin all the times that you weren’t there for me/
Lookin back at all the things that you would promise me, man.../
All I ever wanted , was for you to say you thatchu proud of me/
I never took it as apology
Maybe you can never understand it/
All them times when you left me stranded/
It was wrong to leave us empty handed/
Too many things inside my life, even your words I took for granted/
Even a simple conversation that could always leave in damage/
I was copin with depression, even then u never questioned/
How’d you think I always felt when every second had me guessin/
My clock was tickin/
Overtime I seen my body liftin, blood was leakin everywhere try to put yourself in my position/
That I was never good enough/
You see... The older I get, the more time spent, I’m always/
Stuck in those conditions when you talk I try to listen/
But I can never change that image when I turned around u was missin/
Missin everything in my life, I found myself distracted/
I was lookin at myself in the mirror an I felt distracted/
All I seen was your reflection so I tried to reach an grab it but/
When I went to touch the surface/
Everything froze an... shattered/
Shattered my dreams/
But I been copin with the finner things/
An I been screaming out for help, but ain't nothin ever promising/
Promise me this, I’ma always give you honesty/
An honestly there isn’t any reason you should’ve reached out to me/
Cause ima always be the bigger man in this picture/
Sacrificing something bigger/
Can you read between the lines, my words are always getting thicker/
I never forgive you what you did, but there’s a reason thatch you did it/
Even god will have a reason to believe in what he didn’t/
I made a promise to myself/
that I will never need no help/
Even the movements without you/
It made me stronger by myself/
An as I’m sittin writing letters/
Will you feel the pain I felt/
Or will you brush it all away/
With this message I’ma tell cause I’m gone/
Cause tomorrow ain’t promised/
So if I die today/
Will you remember all the things that I was tryna say/
Will you remember all them nights, I stayed up, cried an prayed/
Is it too much to ask, for you to say that it’s okay/
It’s like I’m talkin to myself an I been I’m runnin outta words to say cause I/
Still love you/
An that ain’t never changed/
Cause tomorrow ain’t, promised/
🍷 There's a Hole in the bottle 🍷
It ain't my fault
So don't blame me
I swear I just came here to unwind and have one drink
The way it looks
Ain't what you think
This cabernet has a way of vanishin' on me
There's a hole in the bottle
Leakin' all this wine
It's already empty and it ain't even suppertime
Honey, no, I don't miss him
In fact, it slipped my mind
There's a hole in the bottle of wine
I keep my cool
Play by all the rules
I swear ten minutes ago that bottle was full
I won't cry
About love gone wrong
'Cause tears would water down this ruby red I'm sippin' on
The last week has brought several old fashioned afternoon thunderstorms and welcome heavy rain to South East Queensland. Nowhere near enough to make a great deal of difference to drought or water levels but just to see gushing water after all this time is rather good.
Almost the whole of Australia looks like the Sahara on the weather maps over the next few days as a massive wave of heat builds up and passes though. Brisbane is expecting 38C while inland and southern and western states are even worse in parts. And now we have had some rain, the humidity is getting very sticky. A great time to be an air-conditioning salesman!
The photo, which was actually taken two months ago can speak for itself. It must have rained, in fact, yes, there were showers on the morning of “Open House”.
To all my Flickr friends, enjoy the week leading up to Christmas.
I've not posted much lately and a few people have requested more info to go with the images. So if nomenclature and general info is not your thing then go straight to the comments section and tell me this picture is amazing and I'm the best togger you have ever known-lol.
Not the best image in the world but this is one of my favourite spots to shoot in Kyleakin. The Skye bridge is behind us in this picture. The wooden structures were where the tugboat "Vanguard" used to rest. Kyleakin is one of the most mispronounced places on Skye. If you break the word into it's constituent parts you will pronounce it like a local. A Kyle is a straight or narrows of the sea and the "Akin" is named for a Norwegian King-Haakon. So Kyle-'akin and it is not Leakin'!
What is left of Castle Moil is where Norwegian Princess, Saucy Mary, is said to have put a chain across the straights which would be lowered to allow boats to pass, once the toll had been paid, of course.
After its opening, it is said that one of the first couples over the Skye Bridge only just made it before their car broke down in a cloud of smoke. They asked the first local they saw if there were any mechanics in Kyleakin. The local replied "It's mostly McLeods and MacDonalds here, I don't think I've heard of any mechanics!"
Ok less stories!!!

Apparently in the 1930s this was the premises of a valet and car hire service operated by a gentleman called Daniel Leakin.
wish you a good new day,
in front of your kitchen window .......... )
listen:
It was a moonlit night in old Mexico
I walked alone between some old adobe haciendas
Suddenly, I heard the plaintive cry of a young Mexican girl
You better come home, Speedy Gonzales
Away from tannery row
Stop all a your a-drinkin'
With that floozy named Flo
Come on home to your adobe
And slap some mud on the wall
The roof is leakin' like a strainer
There's loads a roaches in the hall
Speedy Gonzales (Speedy Gonzales)
Why don't cha come home?
Speedy Gonzales (Speedy Gonzales)
How come ya leave me all alone?

You've never been to Heaven, have you?
Ooh, this the ride of your life
Hold on 'cause, baby, I might
I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie
Ooh, baby, we can go fast
I'll drive and you just lay back
I got the flavor that lasts, yeah, the sweetest pie
I might take you home with this
I might give you all of it
Come get your dose of the sweetest pie
Ooh, this the ride of your life
Hold on 'cause, baby, I might
I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie
Baby, I'm the sweetest
Pussy is the meanest
Hot girl shit, but I'm cold every season
Know he got that pipe, let him bust it till it's leakin'
Booty like a pillow, he can use it while he sleepin'
Look, don't be goin' through my phone 'cause that's the old me
Ain't the only one tryna be my one and only
Real big, movin' slow, that body like codeine
He a player, but for Megan he cuttin' the whole team
That body lookin' nice
I got cake and I know he want a slice
I wish a nigga would try to put me on ice
I ain't ever had to chase dick in my life
I want that nasty, that freaky stuff
Slid up under my bed and keep me up
That Hansel and Gretel, let him eat me up
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Ooh, this the ride of your life
Hold on 'cause, baby, I might
I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie
Ooh, baby, we can go fast
I'll drive and you just lay back
I got the flavor that lasts, yeah, the sweetest pie
I might take you home with this
I might give you all of it
Come get your dose of the sweetest pie
Ooh, this the ride of your life
Hold on 'cause, baby, I might
I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie
You got me hung up from across the room
I'm so high that I'm on another altitude
And on my cloud I got some space for you
Got a taste for you
Ay
More bounce to the ounce
Pick it up, put it down
Wanna put his Nutty Buddy in my Fudge Round
Pussy tighter than a bitch
He ain't had it like this
Toes curling like they throwin' gang signs on Crip
One thing about me, I ain't takin' no shit
He will, I know it's pissin' off his old bitch
Cesar Millan, I got his ass trained
Trouble at the top, now who really runnin' things?
(Who? Ah)
You've never been to Heaven, have you?
Ooh, this the ride of your life
Hold on 'cause, baby, I might
I might just give you a bite of the sweetest pie
Ooh, baby, we can go fast
I'll drive and you just lay back

The Beans Cove Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1881 on the site of an earlier log church which had been built in 1818 by Rev. Thomas Leakins and Rev. John Leasure. The church is located in the very rural area of Clearville, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The structure was refurbished in 2000 and is in good condition. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1998.

For Hire can be clearly read, but the company name is not so clear, D. Leakin or maybe the initial is O.?
I`m unsure if the illustration of the van, which has great detail, is from the early part of the 20th century or a graphic just to show the companies roots & practises were from a more civil bygone age.
My guess would be the former, making this sign (maybe) from the early 30s?
This old chapel is located in a park notoriously known as the place where Baltimore's murdered get dumped. The park recently received national attention due to its mention in the Serial podcast and HBO's The Wire. The chapel is on land that was once owned by Thomas Winans, who, in collaboration with George Washington Whistler, was contracted by Czar Nicholas I to construct the first Russian railroad connecting St. Petersburg to Moscow. Thomas Winans' father, Ross Winans, was a southern sympathizer and Maryland Delegate who eventually became the first Maryland citizen to be arrested during the Civil War.

Lucky find in Leakin park. Gave it a piece of chicken and continued on our walk. By the time we got back both the chicken and the turtle was gone.

Baltimore West Quad
This is Eastbound route 40 in Baltimore. This is a 1.39-mile section of highway that was originally built to be Interstate 70. The construction of I-70 into Baltimore was eventually scrapped because of opposition of the highway by may factors, including going through Leakin Park. A good amount of the planned highways for Baltimore were never built.
This section of highway was eventually opened as 170, which would have been a spur of 70. There has been plans over the years to connect this road with another interstate. Another idea was formed to connect this section of highway to I 95, thus this section was renamed 595. In 1983, this highway was then changed to route 40 and route 40's traffic was rerouted to this highway.
In the end, this road has likely been one factor with keeping West Baltimore from growth. It divides communities and there has been plans over the years to fix this blunder, but nothing has been done.
The center median of the highway is wide enough to fit a rapid transit line. The original plan was for another Metro Subway line to run down the middle.....that never happened. This right of way was possibly going to be used in the now canceled Red Line Light Rail line and that would have followed the alignment of the never built 170/70 and connected up with the park and ride at the end of 70 in Woodlawn.
Sort of recent article linking this road to the issues in West Baltimore: reason.com/blog/2015/05/08/the-wound-in-west-baltimore

Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim camera and expired Fuji Superia 400 film. Somewhere near the Royal Palace. One of the first photos I took in Japan, shortly after getting off the plane.
Every so often, I get a light leak. It doesn't seem to follow any particular film back or body. Any ideas?

Busy work day today. I am trying to catch up on my back log of commissions and jobs. Late night.
"Swallowed by the river
Swollen by the rains
That leakin' ol' computer
Of fingerprints and names
Swimming in the river
That floods the neighborhood
I would call to you
But it would do no good"
Shot through glass, so excuse quality :o) One of tthe best song lyrics ever!!! When I was a kid I listened to this on an old record of my fathers on a wind-up gramaphone with the steel needles you screwed into the head I can still hear the "tick tick sctratch" as it played :o)
LIFE GETS TEEJUS, DON'T IT?
(Carson Robison)
The sun comes up and the sun goes down
And the hands on the clock go round and round
I just wake up and it's time to lay down,
Life gets teejus, don't it.
My shoe's untied, but, shucks, I don't care
Cuz I recon I ain't a-goin' nowhere,
I'd brush my teeth and comb my hair
Just too much wasted effort.
The water in the well get lower and lower,
Ain't had a bath in a month or more
I've heard it said and I'm sure it's true
That too much bathing will weaken you.
Danged ol' mule, he must be sick.
I jabbd him in the rump with a pin on a stick
He hunched his back, but he wouldn't lick
Something cock-eyed somewhere.
Hound dog's howling so forlorn
Laziest dawg that ever was born
He's howlin' 'cause he's settin' on a thorn
Just too tired to move over.
Well, the cow's gone dry and the hens won't lay
And my well dried up last Saturday
My troubles keep pilin' up day by day
And now I'm gettin' dandruff.
Roof's a-leakin' and the chimney leans,
An' there's a hole in the seat of my old blue jeans
Now I've et the last of the pork an' beans,
Just can't depend on nothin'
Mouse is gnawin' at the pantry door
He's been at it now for a month or more
When he gets through he'll sure be sore
Cause there ain't a dang thing in there.
Well, it's debts and taxes and pains and woes
Aches and miseries and that's how it goes
And now I'm getting a cold in my nose,
Life gets tasteless, don't it.

Orianda House/Crimea Estate Mansion
1901 Eagle Dr.
Built circa 1856
The Orianda House was built by Thomas Winans and was a magnificent villa located on three hundred acres of land in the western part of Baltimore. Mr. Winans usually called the estate the Crimea and the large house Orianda.
Thomas de Kay Winans was the eldest child of Ross Winans, an important railroad pioneer, and Julia de Kay, daughter of Thomas de Kay, a wealthy landowner, and his wife Hannah Blain. He married Celeste Marguerite Louise Revillon on 23 August 1847 in Alexandroffsky, Russia. She was Russian born of Italian and French ancestry and died young following the still birth of her fifth child, Thomas Winans, on 19 March 1861 and was distinguished for her extensive charities including the Winans Soup Station.
During the first days of the Civil War, Union forces searched the estate for Ross Winans who was a well known Southern sympathizer. When a search of the mansion and grounds failed to locate the elder Winans, the soldiers camped on the property in the event that he should return. They cut down the orchard and burned the trees as firewood. The next day, soldiers arrested Winans at Relay, MD as he returned there by train from an emergency session of Maryland's General Assembly held in Frederick. He was the first civilian arrested in Maryland during the Civil War.
Part of the original estate, including the home, is now part of Leakin Park. Richard "Rick" Smith is the current Guardian and Keeper of Orianda and has overseen extensive preservation efforts on the home.

This was Princess Dry Cleaners which i believe closed around 2008.
When their sign was taken down in Late 2017 it revealed the For Hire sign & company name, which I think reads D. Leakin.
The Valet Service signage could refer to this old company or the dry cleaners, its applicable to both trades.
For the first few years of its closure some very old newspapers were used to cover the windows, I clearly remember reading the TV listings for May 3rd 1987 (Russ Abbots Madhouse & The District Nurse) & an interview with Curiosity killed the Cat, mixed in with papers from 2008, which is why I assume the dry cleaners closed in that year.
Remains to be seen if the signs will survive this rebuild.
