Oberg Mountain is a 3 mile moderate hike. High overlooks along Oberg give wonderful views of Lake Superior, Oberg Lake and Moose Mountain.

I was disappointed when I saw that most of the trees were beyond peak colors. It was still a fun hike on a nice fall day.

Yellowstone's Lewis River carved this impressive canyon on it's way to joining the Snake River.

Named after Meriwether Lewis. However, he didn't pass by here during his Corp of Discovery Expedition to the Pacific coast. They were much further North.

A great morning wandering alone on the flank of Stac Pollaidh. A few freeze and thaws had finally made the snow a pleasure to walk on. Two days before I'd had an epic battle walking up the valley to view the Fiddler , spending most of my time falling into deep drifts, and fighting my way out. Finally a day to Dilly Dally, by Toots and the Maytals

I think if I want to post fall colors like last year's then I will have to post shots from last year. This comes from a very productive trip to Little River Falls with my buds Tony and Wes.

One of the most iconic places in the world perhaps. I like to connect deeply with areas that I photograph. Get a feel for what hidden gems might reveal themselves if taken from a different perspective, or under different light. But this one is just simply a classic taken under astro twilight. What's fun about Iceland in late Feb. is that Astro twilight lasts for nearly 2 hours on both sides of sunrise and sunset. That's 4 hours of my favorite time of day, every day!! What a fun place to play with light in.

Heute konnte ich endlich - bei Sonne (!) mein neues 15mm testen :-)

A trip to Dinorwig quarry today was a washout !Strong winds and the rain pelted down...or sideways! Determined to capture my existance in this special place.

Headed back to the coast which ofcourse was beautiful skies and no rain ! Hmm..I'll be back
