Na fotostops op twee verschillende plekken in Herzogenrath werd het tijd om met de fiets de stijge helling naar Kohlscheid te beklimmen. Dit omdat in Uersfeld fotostop drie op de planning stond.
Eenmaal aangekomen kwam de melding dat de 193 338 van DB Cargo, bestickert met de leus #DBCargofährt, een beladen Land-Rover trein vanuit Bochum naar Zeebrugge reed. Deze trein rijdt gepland in de nachtelijke uurtjes, echter was deze vandaag ruim acht uur te laat waardoor deze in het zonlicht te fotograferen viel.
Het is één uur precies als DB Cargo Vectron 193 338 #DBCargofährt met een beladen Land-Rover autotrein uit Bochum-Langendreer de vier fotograven passeert in Uersfeld. De trein nadert hier het grote emplacement van Aachen West en zal vanaf daar verder gaan richting Zeebrugge-Bundel Ramskapelle.
Aufgrund einer Sperrung zwischen Zbehy und Leopoldov verkehren zurzeit die bekannten Züge von und zum Werk TIP Lužianky über Nitra nach Šurany/Nové Zámky. Am 01.11.25 konnte der Nex 47170 von Lužianky TIP nach Bochum Langendreer mit der gerade noch möglichen Verspätung vor Licht-aus bei der Ausfahrt am Bahnhof Komjatice mit 751 035 eingefangen werden.

Iconic, but not really necessary for the functioning of an urbanised society. There may be many reasons for having or for liking a Land Rover. It clearly was a symbol of Britishness, just like the (now defunct) red telephone booth was. However, when the truck was designed in 1947, it was very much based on the concept of the US American Jeep of WWII. In the meantime, BMW modernised its technology, and today, the company producing the Land Rover is a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. The truck is still an icon, though it may no longer be clear of what.

We had enough time on our daparture day to go to the Lego store a second time. More than glad that we did, because I hadn't realised until then that this tiny car is another of those bloody "store exclusives"
I've already made some small modifications: Added number plates (which fell off for the picture) and changed the attachment of the spare tyre from an ugly 1x2 brick to a 1x1 technic brick, and another yellow, so the corner doesn't peep out.
This is not in the mud, as Cornelwine suggested, because we're having another drought - hasn't rained since... march?

Steam driven Landrover, 0 to 60 in 15 minutes, perfect for the modern commute to the city. I’m joking, of course, I’ve no idea of acceleration or top speed but I do know that the speed of traffic in London is no faster now than when horse and cart was the fastest way to travel making this a novel way to speed things up.
A little bit of background to this unique vehicle here :-
I am guessing, based on the “barrel-side waistline” style of its body, that this example is a Series II or later. Aside from that, I do not know what apparent features would help indicate Series/model/model year.
The Landrover is something I've been wanting to build for quite some time, but never came around to actually doing it. This one is 99% copied from Filius Rucilo.
